After the death of his wife, world-class neurosurgeon Dr. Andrew Brown leaves Manhattan and moves his family to the small town of Everwood, Colorado. Also, lonely Edna suffers a panic attack and is rushed to the hospital. Lastly, Delia grows more rebellious against her father. Harold and Rose consider adopting a child from Africa, but the process of it is a lot harder than they expected.
