Almost Family

Feels like one of those terrible-but-popular show from the late 2000s. The pilot wasn't very good but I'll keep watching the rest of the first season for the cast. Hope it gets better

The series began with all the performances executed in comedic hyperbole, which was disappointing for people drawn to a premise that could have had dramatic potential. Over the season the performances seemed to settle into themselves, leaving the exaggerations behind and grounding the human stories, but was it a little too late? I think it is unlikely the series will see a second season, and I give it a 6 (fair) out of 10. [Dramedy?]

A terrible rip off of the Australian series Sisters which was amazing

Wasn't sure what to expect but I watched it due to Brittany Snow being involved. I enjoyed her performance in hangman with Al Pacino. I actually really liked the premier episode and plan on watching the show. The other actors (Hutton, Echikunwoke, & Osment) all complement each other in their roles. It will be interesting how this story line plays out. Good story line with the recent up-tick in the use of DNA for genealogy matters. .
