Well acted, well put together mini-series. However, the creators were so focused on delivering as many "social justice warrior"-driven story arcs (poor minority (lesbian, illegal, migrant...) female facing evil white male (anti-gay, anti migrant, sexual predator) that they forgot to write a truly compelling story. The 4th episode ends and you're like "meh, that's it? that's what I get for putting up with 3 hours of PC propaganda?" No thank you
shows shouldn't be allowed to be this bad
I don't agree with other comments. While the casting and acting is pretty good overall, the plot wasn't on par with it. One could pretty much know the outcome halfway through :/
So psyched to see Carey Mulligan play a badass pregnant crime deductive! and casting Ahd is the BEST having an Arab playing an Arab is finally done right, the whole show was done right
Right up there wth the best BBC crime dramas! Stellar cast; engaging plot; timely story. Everything about this was good. I give it a 9 (superb) out of 10. [Crime Mystery Thriller]
Another "Netflix" or Netflix'ish production.A gay nun in open well known relationship with migrant junkie...... or main character is aksing male friend, casual normal question 'if he have someone currently woman or a man...... they're pushing lgbtqwerty sick ideology too hard too much.. this all end bad
A better than average British crime drama. It was jam-packed with just about every social issue you can think of. Carey Mulligan plays a strong, silent, kickass, type DI. And most impressive of all, Mulligan was actually pregnant while shooting this series. How I rate: 1-3  = seriously! don't waste your time 4-6  = you may or may not enjoy this 7-8  = I expect you will like this too 9-10  = movies and TV shows I really love!
In the end a disappointment. Even Jon Simm and Billie Piper, whom I both like to see very much, couldn't save this. An illegal iraqi immigrant, who was brought in by an english human trafficker as cheap labor, gets shot by a traumatized british soldier who just wanted "to kill some terrorist" and is harrassed by her superior officer. That's the simplified version but it covers the general story. Than you get the side plots. A lesbian vicar living with yet another illegal. The MP, whos ex-wife is a gambling and drug addict and full of self pity, who is also in disagreement with his party over just about anything. In a strange and highly coincidental way they are all connected. Add a little bit of drug dealing and a secret agent and you get a mess of a story. It's just too much. You have an unpleasant lead character who ultimately accomplishes nothing but burning an agent and finding a way to keep the sisters of the murdered iraqi in country. The bad guy gets away and the soldier commits suicide. Did I leave something out ?
I'd recommend it. it took me a while to get past the first episode. But overall it is up there with most crime shows running on BBC.
This is on Netflix but this db ignores that.
Isn’t it great when your favorite TV show has characters from all over the world? A lovely Spanish or a funny Indian accent can always make a show interesting but cultural presentation is what brings awe to the viewers life. I am presenting you with the three best TV shows that will add colors to your to-watch list!
Because I’m watching so many imaginary scenarios, it’s nice to take a look at things that actually happened every once in a while. The drama from documentaries really feels a lot different than those from series you just know didn’t happen. I love being aware of everything that is or has been going on and Netflix is really great at helping us with that.
As much shame and guilt as I feel while watching these reality series, I can never get enough of them. It’s never fun having your own drama, but when it’s blown out of proportion and has nothing to do with you, suddenly it’s something a lot of people want to watch. We’re always looking forward to the next episode and simply can’t wait to see more of it.
I am Sophie and this is my website.
A little about me 👋 I am a marketing student in Paris. I love spending afternoons with friends in a cafe or a park.
But more than anything else, I love watching (.. binging…) series on my computer on rainy Sundays or any sunny day for that matter 🙈
I must have watched hundreds of shows by now, from romance to science-fiction series. Often I like to go back to a show I enjoyed. But I don’t feel like watching it all over again…
I created this website so myself and others could find the best episodes of our favourite shows. As of today, I have about 1,000 shows on the website with votes and rating coming from fans.
Hopefully, you can join me from your sofa and enjoy some nice TV!
