After binge-watching the whole 10 episodes, I think that Dig had the promise to become more than an event series. Jason Isaacs is one one the best British actors today and I truly respect his craft. It's so sad for me that his television series (as a main character) don't get a second season since Brotherhood. Shooting in Jerusalem was a bold move that added texture and a gritty look that was lost when production was moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico. The whole show had to be adapted and re-written, and many scenes re-shot or dropped. Keeping in mind that this series was originally planned as a 6 episode drama (the extra 4 episodes were added when the network was so pleased with the rushes shot on location), I like the overall direction of the plot, despite the huge number of characters that were introduced and cast aside, leaving many holes story-wise, even when I know some of them actually came with the added material (the original ending was very different in the 6 hours version). Dig happens to be a good show about fanaticism, intolerance and grief, that suffered from production changes, but enjoyable after all.
Started out intriguing, containing a deep plot, with a cast that is rather fitting for this show. But the end of season 1 - and there probably won't be more than that - is a terrible, terrible close for the story. It is overly clichéd with the good guys winning and a "let's ride in the sunset" attempt that made no sense given the risk for the person who tries it. You got a great buildup to the very last episode, with a lot of different houses, eh, fractions but they all ultimately lead nowhewe, just like that. It's okay that the proclaimed armageddon didn't happen but seriously. The end doesn't feel satisfying at all, perhaps _one_ of many reasons is the woman who shot that one person running away in the desert early on is still alive at the end. Her character existence in this show really confuses me, there seems to be no other purpose than wreaking havoc to make the audience confuse it with suspense or action or to provoke a strong emotional attachment to the show by making her the character she is. It's like a show that has almost everything, a good story, compelling, likable actors, mostly nice writing for the episodes (hence still a 5/10) BUT somehow that special something is missing, that one thing making you think this is actually great, or worthwhile, or making you look forward to a new episode each week. Instead the show introduces way too many characters and loses time and with that itself on each one of them, unable to connect all the dots appropriately at the end and without ending abruptly, leaving some characters hanging in the air (some of them were even killed off as lame cannon fodder). Two of those things where time is lost are the borderline incest theme of one of our main characters, resurfacing every now and then, it reaaally bothers me and the Jewish boy trying and failing to kill others, _repeatedly_ and falling in love/feeling attached to a woman for the first time along his travel. All due respect for character depth, but it's too much here considering the show's strict timespan. As a two season show this would have been better, or simply as a one season show with less characters and/or a better focus. No matter your feelings towards the first few episodes, rather watch something different, something worth your time because this sadly isn't. It's frustrating to see how it ends. Wrong characters die, wrong characters stay alive and a no-end end kind of thing.
Intriguing series, good cast - skirting the edges of science and mythology.
This was marvellous! An interesting story, good acting, great sets and edge of the seat action! 8/10
I love this series, it is one of my absolute favorites and I was crushed when I found out it had been cancelled. it infuriates me that crappy shows are being renewed while brilliantly written and acted productions like this are thrown away on reasons of not ideal ratings because studio decision makers can't be bothered taking chances for the benefit of viewers and the cast and crew. I have not seen a show with this level of intensity and twists – ever.
Watching royalty can sometimes make us feel like we are a part of royalty, but it also shows that being a leader usually isn’t as easy as it could seem. So, if you want to experience a lot of unpredictable drama with stunning scenery, clothes and visuals in general, these may be a few good choices for you:
Isn’t it great when your favorite TV show has characters from all over the world? A lovely Spanish or a funny Indian accent can always make a show interesting but cultural presentation is what brings awe to the viewers life. I am presenting you with the three best TV shows that will add colors to your to-watch list!
I remember watching a lot of “Pokémon”, “Digimon”, “Dragon Ball Z” etc. when I was growing up. Little did I know back then, I wasn’t watching cartoons but animes. Even now that I’m all grown up, I still enjoy watching them. There are many more genres to choose from and it’s always so full of action. The music in it is so great, you’ll definitely find yourself listening to songs long after you’ve finished watching.

A little about me 👋 I am a marketing student in Paris. I love spending afternoons with friends in a cafe or a park.
But more than anything else, I love watching (.. binging…) series on my computer on rainy Sundays or any sunny day for that matter 🙈
I must have watched hundreds of shows by now, from romance to science-fiction series. Often I like to go back to a show I enjoyed. But I don’t feel like watching it all over again…
I created this website so myself and others could find the best episodes of our favourite shows. As of today, I have about 1,000 shows on the website with votes and rating coming from fans.
Hopefully, you can join me from your sofa and enjoy some nice TV!
