**WARNING: Looks like the Higurashi New marketed as a remake was bait all along. This is a sequel* to the original series https://trakt.tv/shows/when-they-cry-higurashi.** Since it's based on a visual novel with different routes repeating events are expected which is why they were able to mislead with the premiere but the second episode reveals a twist of the series and references being set after the events of Higurashi. They also changed the title from "New" to "Gou" ζ₯... *\*What exactly it is we cannot say for sure right now but you are definitely not getting a fresh start.*

Middle of season 2 /sotsu and it's getting pretty repetitive and boring though.

I haven't watched the old one yet but I can say this that this one was way too boring. Every single episode was too overdramatic and repetitive (literally). I won't recommend this one to anyone.

**Higurashi from the "When They Cry! " saga is a true masterpiece**, even if the last 2 episodes of Sotsu were a bit rushed, I still think that Higurashi is one of the best anime ever made. To understand why Higurashi is a masterpiece, I recommend you to start watching the old series, then continue with the new one (which is actually a sequel of the old one) and you can see that every episode has a meaning and every little thing you see from the very first episode of the old series has a meaning and is logical. I felt so many emotions during the whole series,
I felt how much Rika and Satoko suffered for so many years
. The ending concludes the series quite well, I haven't played the games so I don't know if they have the same ending. The music is so well done, you can feel all the emotions in each episode with the opening and the ending
(especially with the last music in the last episode).

There are still some unanswered questions, I hope they will be answered with (maybe) another series in the same universe.
Thank you for giving us this masterpiece. I will remember this series until I make a new loop

About Me

I am Sophie and this is my website.

A little about me πŸ‘‹ I am a marketing student in Paris. I love spending afternoons with friends in a cafe or a park.

But more than anything else, I love watching (.. binging…) series on my computer on rainy Sundays or any sunny day for that matter πŸ™ˆ

I must have watched hundreds of shows by now, from romance to science-fiction series. Often I like to go back to a show I enjoyed. But I don’t feel like watching it all over again…

I created this website so myself and others could find the best episodes of our favourite shows. As of today, I have about 1,000 shows on the website with votes and rating coming from fans.

Hopefully, you can join me from your sofa and enjoy some nice TV!
