Lovely post-war vibe, great music and interesting characters gives this story legs that otherwise it shouldn't. Based on an Anais Nin story collection, it only weaves together the kink-scapades with the slenderest of plots. It is easy watching and flows well, with the colours popping out at you reminiscent of technicolor. I loved its excess and the table-turning denouement. It is a shame they could not have embellished it with some writers or artists seeking bolt holes for their peccadilloes. It felt confined in scope due to the concentration on the two leading ladies, and it felt a bit disappointing their resolutions did not involve each other romantically. 7/10

I never read erotica, I just watch porn, but this adaptation here is a convincing argument to change my mind and start reading it. I love the intention to details, the music, the desperate romantic ending and the irony of name cherifa.

A mess that is not clear about its destination. It misses the erotic potential of Anaïs Nin's stories, and loses in the diverse plots that are poorly reconverted into a single story. There is an intention to evoke certain reverie, mostly around the main character, the growth of this girl who savors freedom outside of her golden cage. And there is an interesting representation of the cultural and sensual explosion of Tangier in the pos-twar period, with an excellent musical selection. But there is so little contention in the scenes that it just spirals out of control.

About Me

I am Sophie and this is my website.

A little about me 👋 I am a marketing student in Paris. I love spending afternoons with friends in a cafe or a park.

But more than anything else, I love watching (.. binging…) series on my computer on rainy Sundays or any sunny day for that matter 🙈

I must have watched hundreds of shows by now, from romance to science-fiction series. Often I like to go back to a show I enjoyed. But I don’t feel like watching it all over again…

I created this website so myself and others could find the best episodes of our favourite shows. As of today, I have about 1,000 shows on the website with votes and rating coming from fans.

Hopefully, you can join me from your sofa and enjoy some nice TV!
