As I said earlier after I watched the second episode: **THIS IS NOT PARANORMAL**. They should've called it something else, and they shouldn't mention that it is based on or inspired by the book series that is written by Dr. Ahmed Khaled Tawfik “May Allah have mercy on him”, because it is NOT, It is something entirely different. And I'm not talking about the ugly different narratives of the stories or the hideous portrayals of beloved characters, I'm talking about the beliefs of Dr. Ahmed Khaled Tawfik and the essence of his writings.
Dr. Refaat Ismail is standing on a chair, tying a rope around his neck, and about to commit suicide?!!
REALLY??!!!! Did the creators of this show even read one novel of the +80 book series?!! Did they even read any of Dr. Ahmed Khaled Tawfik's other book series like Fantasia, Safari, or any novel he wrote?
Dr. Refaat Ismail wouldn't even consider committing suicide,
the thought would never even cross his mind! To tell you the truth; when I heard about this project and that they will adapt Paranormal by Dr. Ahmed Khaled Tawfik into a TV series, I wasn't optimistic; for so many reasons I don't have the time to mention it now, but even then I wasn't imagining what a mess they will be able to turn this show into. The only thing that is fairly acceptable about this show is the portrayal of Dr. Refaat Ismail's character by Ahmed Amin, he did a decent job, at least for the physical appearance, and that is IT. If you haven't read the novels you might enjoy this show, if you don't mind the terrible decisions taken by the characters and bad CGI. But if you have read the novels; Please be warned, don't watch this awful mess of a show, and if you must watch it, please push away any thought about the book series out of your mind, because if you didn't, you will be slapping your forehead every 3 minutes, and that will be a preliminary event before you start banging your head against the wall.
Netflix's first original Arabic tv show is really solid across the board. Good start to a promising new horror/ mystery show. The main caracter is the heart of the show and carries the main attention of the spectator Spooky, Creepy and a fun ride from beginning to end
Don’t know about you, but since the lockdown, I have had more free time than ever. Maybe it’s because we did not actually realize how much time we were wasting. So the other day, whilst I was pouring myself a glass of wine, I remembered how much I love and missed genre “Fantasy”. It was my favorite genre since growing up, maybe because I was too much into Avatar, but yeah I miss it. So today let’s talk about best fantasy TV shows.
Because I’m watching so many imaginary scenarios, it’s nice to take a look at things that actually happened every once in a while. The drama from documentaries really feels a lot different than those from series you just know didn’t happen. I love being aware of everything that is or has been going on and Netflix is really great at helping us with that.
I remember watching a lot of “Pokémon”, “Digimon”, “Dragon Ball Z” etc. when I was growing up. Little did I know back then, I wasn’t watching cartoons but animes. Even now that I’m all grown up, I still enjoy watching them. There are many more genres to choose from and it’s always so full of action. The music in it is so great, you’ll definitely find yourself listening to songs long after you’ve finished watching.
I am Sophie and this is my website.
A little about me 👋 I am a marketing student in Paris. I love spending afternoons with friends in a cafe or a park.
But more than anything else, I love watching (.. binging…) series on my computer on rainy Sundays or any sunny day for that matter 🙈
I must have watched hundreds of shows by now, from romance to science-fiction series. Often I like to go back to a show I enjoyed. But I don’t feel like watching it all over again…
I created this website so myself and others could find the best episodes of our favourite shows. As of today, I have about 1,000 shows on the website with votes and rating coming from fans.
Hopefully, you can join me from your sofa and enjoy some nice TV!
