Cool premise/context, but poor execution, script, acting, screenplay
I wish another season was coming!
Cancelled too soon, Zahn was pretty good in this. I would have liked to see more of Dr Forbin in S2 as well. Had its issues overall, some characters too many and was a bit too slow in the middle. Yet enjoyable and the finale closes S1 well enough to give it closure. Among my favourite new shows of the past few seasons.
I don't mean to cast shade, if you love this show, good on you. But in the spirit of democracy, I must say the pilot episode was for me, a special "white rice on white bread with a glass of water"kind of bland. I wished for more as I think society does need a good parable to remember that immigration has always been an extremely positive part of human development across the millennia. The current culture of immigration phobia exhibited by some folks is simply ignorant and uninformed. And ultra ironic coming from Americans... That said, I find it sad that conventional US broadcast corporations like ABC are probably just not capable of making content which is artistic and fresh, given the risk it would present to corporate interests. They instead study your purchased facebook data, cynically calculate and subdivide demographics with scalpels, and double check their ROI calculus to ensure profits are maximized as they package up the population and sell it to other corporate advertisers. I suspect that is how this show was written. It's how all ABC shows are written.
Just finished watching the pilot episode. Basically it's The 4400 intermixed with Odyssey 5 (which both shows I enjoyed) with a bit of a spin. Felt the ending was a bit predictable but I still liked it, although I am easily entertained lol. Interested to see where it goes so, hopefully ABC does a good job weaving the mystery along with the shenanigans of the first group of mystery travelers.
Had potential but just didn’t make the cut
This is pretty good, interesting idea unfolding, decent acting and production values, hope it keeps up the intrigue.
Nothing new in this show that incorporates the classic clichés of the TV series in which humans are genetically enhanced and time travel. In addition to the unoriginal plot, what I find very weak is the flat and banal interpretation of the actors, with characters that are not very interesting and lacking in thickness. I left her after the first 2 episodes.
Promising start, but becomes too boring by the middle of the first season.
The show started out feeling bland and derivative -- very reminiscent of shows like the 4400 and The Returned. I only kept watching it because I'm from the Pacific Northwest, where it takes place. But something happened around Episodes 4 & 5 that revealed a new layer and the show suddenly became much more intriguing. Hoping they can keep up the mystery and suspense, but I can see it getting convoluted fairly quickly. That may not come until a Season 2, though, if it makes it that far.
Watching royalty can sometimes make us feel like we are a part of royalty, but it also shows that being a leader usually isn’t as easy as it could seem. So, if you want to experience a lot of unpredictable drama with stunning scenery, clothes and visuals in general, these may be a few good choices for you:
Isn’t it great when your favorite TV show has characters from all over the world? A lovely Spanish or a funny Indian accent can always make a show interesting but cultural presentation is what brings awe to the viewers life. I am presenting you with the three best TV shows that will add colors to your to-watch list!
Like I mentioned before, during these times, you have to be able to relax and is there a better way than sitting back and binging on a really good series? I don’t think so! We’ve already covered some series that are available on Netflix, but what about other services? Well, now we’re going to see what Hulu has to offer.
I am Sophie and this is my website.
A little about me 👋 I am a marketing student in Paris. I love spending afternoons with friends in a cafe or a park.
But more than anything else, I love watching (.. binging…) series on my computer on rainy Sundays or any sunny day for that matter 🙈
I must have watched hundreds of shows by now, from romance to science-fiction series. Often I like to go back to a show I enjoyed. But I don’t feel like watching it all over again…
I created this website so myself and others could find the best episodes of our favourite shows. As of today, I have about 1,000 shows on the website with votes and rating coming from fans.
Hopefully, you can join me from your sofa and enjoy some nice TV!
