The New Scooby-Doo Movies

CBS 1972

Following a successful run of Scooby-Doo, Where Are You?, The New Scooby-Doo Movies was the first of many reincarnations of the lovable talking hound's show. To boost the already increasing popularity of the series, each episode of The New Scooby Doo Movies featured a guest star -- ranging from celebrities like Sonny and Cher and Monkees frontman Davy Jones to characters from other Hanna/Barbara cartoons like Josie and the Pussycats and Speed Buggy. The format basically stayed the same -- the most notable change being that each episode doubled in size from a thirty minute episode to sixty minutes. Scooby and the gang still found themselves foiling the bad guys in rubber masks like in the original series, but this time around the guest stars would help out and be another source of comedic hijinks. Harlem Globetrotter eps were the best. Too bad every episode episode is 1 hour long. Because of that not even the Globetrotters can't save it.

This sucks. None of the magic that the original series had. The characters are weirdly muddy (Velma acting like Shaggy, everyone ignoring Scooby.) where as with the original they were fairly defined. Half of each episode is introducing the celebrities. Boo! (Not a scary boo, but a you suck get off the stage boo.) ALSO WHY ARE THESE EPISODES SO LONG?!

    About Me

I am Sophie and this is my website.

A little about me ๐Ÿ‘‹ I am a marketing student in Paris. I love spending afternoons with friends in a cafe or a park.

But more than anything else, I love watching (.. bingingโ€ฆ) series on my computer on rainy Sundays or any sunny day for that matter ๐Ÿ™ˆ

I must have watched hundreds of shows by now, from romance to science-fiction series. Often I like to go back to a show I enjoyed. But I donโ€™t feel like watching it all over againโ€ฆ

I created this website so myself and others could find the best episodes of our favourite shows. As of today, I have about 1,000 shows on the website with votes and rating coming from fans.

Hopefully, you can join me from your sofa and enjoy some nice TV!
