You can get the gist of the show by it's title: Yami Shibai - Japanese Ghost Stories. The episodes are no longer than four minutes and always self contained. Most of them come down to your typical J-horror setup/sequences. Like many short shows the budget for these is small. The way they handle it here is employing a picture-story style with little animation which works for me. Horror seems to be one of the hardest things to do in animation or at least I don't really know of something scary in the field (that is not going the cruel/gore route à la Corpse Party). Some of the episodes are fun to watch for the creepy vibe but there are also weak ones among them. I'd say if you like J-horror and got some minutes to spare you will enjoy it. (The two ED's so far have been great btw., I really like the dark/distorted vocaloid songs.)
In times like this, when we’re all trying to stay safe and stay home as much as possible, it is very important to enjoy ourselves and feel relaxed while doing so. Thankfully, we have Netflix to help us out in our quest, but with so many series to choose from, you might spend hours browsing and still not being able to decide! That’s why I made this list to help you out.
Because I’m watching so many imaginary scenarios, it’s nice to take a look at things that actually happened every once in a while. The drama from documentaries really feels a lot different than those from series you just know didn’t happen. I love being aware of everything that is or has been going on and Netflix is really great at helping us with that.
I remember watching a lot of “Pokémon”, “Digimon”, “Dragon Ball Z” etc. when I was growing up. Little did I know back then, I wasn’t watching cartoons but animes. Even now that I’m all grown up, I still enjoy watching them. There are many more genres to choose from and it’s always so full of action. The music in it is so great, you’ll definitely find yourself listening to songs long after you’ve finished watching.
I am Sophie and this is my website.
A little about me 👋 I am a marketing student in Paris. I love spending afternoons with friends in a cafe or a park.
But more than anything else, I love watching (.. binging…) series on my computer on rainy Sundays or any sunny day for that matter 🙈
I must have watched hundreds of shows by now, from romance to science-fiction series. Often I like to go back to a show I enjoyed. But I don’t feel like watching it all over again…
I created this website so myself and others could find the best episodes of our favourite shows. As of today, I have about 1,000 shows on the website with votes and rating coming from fans.
Hopefully, you can join me from your sofa and enjoy some nice TV!
