The whole zombie thing is way overdone now. These creators need to start being more original. Hopefully this is not garbage like The Walking Dead.

are these hybrid zombies starts off with the woman being rock bottom by a zombie l

Well, expectation 8/10. please it must be good

I want to like this but at ep 6 I can no longer deny that it is pretty terrible.

There is in the first episodes the feeling that the series tries to find the balance between comedy and the zombie genre, and sometimes it works. But the development ends up being repetitive and empty, and it conveys that feeling so common in this recent explosion of movie-based series that those stories don't need eight or ten hours to be told.

Day of the Dead was mostly a claustrophobic drama with the backdrop being a zombie apocalypse. This show seems to be a retelling of the original film and while it is getting there, at least story-wise, this is a completely different beast, sharing only the name and "story" with its predecessor. After five episodes I do not think: - it will be renewed - it will get any better If you want a "lighter" experience than The Walking Dead then Asylum's Z Nation is your best bet - it's original, campy and surprisingly well-written.

Perhaps if they had leaned on the comedy _and meant it,_ then it could have been good. As it is, you start off thinking that's what's happening but about halfway through that assessment is challenged at every turn. By the end I was at a loss trying to figure out if any part of it makes any sense.

Way too cheesy. Watched the entire season since I was far enough in to just stop without seeing it through. Avoiding spoilers there are countless scenes where characters create a scenario that leads to disaster but it's beyond belief on how stupid one would be to do such things. Campy movies or shows can be great because they were actually trying to be great, you can't just manufacture it.

This show is pure zombie fun. It's more refined than the usual SyFy fare. Day of the Dead plays with some common tropes of the many many zombie films and books and shows that have come before it. It felt to me like it was indulging in the tropes with a knowing wink to the audience, and managed to pull it off in an unironic way. The feels from this show are awesome, as well as hilarious and sometimes it's extremely wince inducing too. It's no Z-Nation, but it is just as funny when the silly (and sincere) characters are thrust into absurd situations. If you like comedy and zombies, ignore the naysayers and give this show a chance. It's a lot of fun, the way most SyFy productions are fun.

It's a cheesy zombie show with jokes at random times and a odd story. Not much like the original besides maybe the cheese factor and how some of the zombies act. But like I said it's not for everyone, expecially people looking for a perfect show to dissect every aspect of it like TWD.
