The day-to-day life of two unwilling partners of the Montreal Police Department, Officers Nick Barron and Ben Chartier. These two beat cops patrol the urban sprawl of downtown's 19th district, in cruiser No. 2. 19-2 is about the tensions and bonds that develop between two incompatible men of very different temperaments and life experiences. Over time, Nick and Ben's mistrust and antagonism for each other give way to moments of mutual respect and a wavering chance at a true partnership.

I cannot recommend this show highly enough - one of the best dramas out there. I say drama rather than procedural as '19-2' is so much more than a 'chase down bad guys for the win' type affair. Acting across the board is top notch with writing to match but what sets it apart for me is the technical skill evident in every episode. The single camera/steadicam work is some of the best I've seen and often adds an almost ethereal quality to the show. And I haven't even mentioned the 12 minute continuous shot in s02e01 - no spoilers here, but the scene in question had me amazed and terrified in equal measures. '19-2' genuinely is a thing of raw beauty.

Kept getting this show recommended to me by coworkers. So I finally went ahead and started watching it. WOW!!! I am hooked. Superb acting, great & believable story line, plenty of drama... what's there not to like!! Highly recommending it to anyone who enjoys police shows.

Very strong show. Believable story and really intriguing. Great acting. Is this show the reason why Tyler Hynes ("Luke Reid" in SH) left Saving Hope? Incidentally he's a likeable guy, got obnoxious at the end in SH and is now playing a jerk. Well, at least he's still got a minor role and is rarely seen anyway. This show focuses on the live of police officers and does so really well. One main/overall aspect in this show is the main characters guilt and responsibility that he puts on himself for a terrible mistake he did and that is dealt with from episode one and onwards. But it is done more or less in an episodic way and surfaces every now and then and is rather subtle at most (other) times. I like the way how that is done. It doesn't shove it in your face at all times and gives you room to breathe and enjoy the rest of the stories that are presented but you are still very aware of that. It is done with great care and aesthesia. This kind of police story show is not to be confused with others like CSI or similar. Can't wait for this to get a (hopefully) second season (adaption). Understandable why the French original version got a lot of praise. I just wish this'd be easier to watch for a European (who doesn't speak French) without days of delays.

About Me

I am Sophie and this is my website.

A little about me 👋 I am a marketing student in Paris. I love spending afternoons with friends in a cafe or a park.

But more than anything else, I love watching (.. binging…) series on my computer on rainy Sundays or any sunny day for that matter 🙈

I must have watched hundreds of shows by now, from romance to science-fiction series. Often I like to go back to a show I enjoyed. But I don’t feel like watching it all over again…

I created this website so myself and others could find the best episodes of our favourite shows. As of today, I have about 1,000 shows on the website with votes and rating coming from fans.

Hopefully, you can join me from your sofa and enjoy some nice TV!
