9-1-1: Lone Star

FOX 2020

Nearly 20 years ago, Owen Strand was the lone survivor of his Manhattan firehouse on 9/11. In the wake of the attack, Owen had the unenviable task of rebuilding his station. After a similar tragedy happens to a firehouse in Austin, Owen, along with his troubled firefighter son, T.K., takes his progressive philosophies of life and firefighting down to Texas, where he helps them start anew. On the surface, Owen is all about big-city style and swagger, but underneath he struggles with a secret he hides from the world - one that could very well end his life.

Good so far but Liv Tyler brings the show down. Her voice is just so soft and low with no personality. Rest of the cast seams well placed.

Love it. This show is everything O. G 9-1-1 wasn't for me. Am I starting to stan Rob?

This show is enjoyable but also gives me a feeling of having mismatched shoes.; you can still walk and still run but they will always feel...off. I liked Rob Lowe's and his character's son's origin stories...but the rest of the time I'm not in love with Rob's character. We spend A LOT of time in early episodes focused on his hair...I mean, A LOT. It makes him come off as vain and having misplaced priorities instead of focusing more on the firehouse or his role as captain. The son's story line is one of the stronger things in the show. His roller coaster story line made me sympathize and connect with him more than other characters.

Total crap show. Sigh how about some real fire fighting?

avatar

What the fuck. Why doesn't anyone have a Texas accent in this damn show.??

[Initial Impression]. Built on the star power of Rob Lowe and Liv Tyler, this series (Iike its predecessor 9-1-1) has little to do with real fire procedures and fire service related emergencies. The series will be a sensationalized crisis-of-the-week production, while slowly milking out the personal dramas of the cast of characters. Lots of unrealistic action, cutesy banter and soap opera, personal drama. They better establish some grounded, sympathetic characters soon or they will lose their audience. I rate this initial episode a 6 (fair) out of 10. [Dramatic Hyperbole]

I am going to fall in love too hard with this show. I've already cried my eyes out at least once and I'm a grown-ass man!

All in all it was ok... Not great but not bad. 9-1-1 is way better. The story line is somewhat genetic and boring. Honestly the whole show is kinda boring. However, season 1 episode 10 was amazing. Was going to rate the show a 4 but the final episode made me change it to a 6. I would say the show is worth a watch, just don't expect greatness and it will be ok.

Iโ€™m trying to stick this series out because the original 9-1-1 is so good to me... this Austin version is lacking... I think itโ€™s the acting and the storylines seem forced.

Overall I like the show except for multiple gay sex scenes. I think this show would be for someone who is gay or does not have children present. This show has a lot of potential and is well written otherwise. It has a great lead star line up and lots of action. The character development is very good and each one is very interesting and have great backstories. This show builds off the original 9-1-1 currently being aired on the same network.

They are giving the gays:tm: (me) everything they (I) want

I just finished the 1st season. It was enjoyable to have a different approach to a 911 series I'm looking forward to season 2. It has potential of becoming a great series. As of Sep 23, 2020 the second season is delayed until sometime in 2021.

I am Sophie and this is my website.

A little about me ๐Ÿ‘‹ I am a marketing student in Paris. I love spending afternoons with friends in a cafe or a park.

But more than anything else, I love watching (.. bingingโ€ฆ) series on my computer on rainy Sundays or any sunny day for that matter ๐Ÿ™ˆ

I must have watched hundreds of shows by now, from romance to science-fiction series. Often I like to go back to a show I enjoyed. But I donโ€™t feel like watching it all over againโ€ฆ

I created this website so myself and others could find the best episodes of our favourite shows. As of today, I have about 1,000 shows on the website with votes and rating coming from fans.

Hopefully, you can join me from your sofa and enjoy some nice TV!
