WOW! Definitely similar to "Humans" but waaaaay better. Can't wait for season 2
The show gets dragged down by it's long run (16 episodes) and longwinded plot. What starts off as a promising look into a possible future quickly runs into a series of tropes we have seen many times before, followed by a long stretch of handoffs and scenes that in American shows would have been cut. I enjoyed seeing Russion Doctor House but a lot of the things that happened weren't all that memorable. It makes the show more realistic as you witness the more mundane aspects of their lives. It also helps that there are a lot of pretty Russian people in this show but don't expect anything edgy like Altered Carbon. If you enjoy Blade Runner and the gritty side of our future watch Altered Carbon. If you enjoy IRobot and Will Smith's antics but played by Ruski House watch this. If you're like me and enjoy both: watch both. The second season could be helped with a plot that moves a bit more and has a bit more variation in it's themes. This sometimes felt like watching soccer... follow the ball go from one to the other nearing the goal... being taken by the opposition, toward the other, nearing the goal... taken again followed by a fully clothed blonde streaker or a fistfight and back to the ball... being kicked back and forth
Warning! This will destroy your brain! Seriously, this is one of THE worst shows I've ever watched period. I love foreign stuff and I realize the netflix voice overs can some times miss the mark and ruin the subtlety of the actors. But this is absolute garbage. Even listened in original language. Was just mind meltingly horrid. It hurt my brain to keep watching this. The Russian writers and director must have copied every single worst trait of Hollywood and crammed it in. Production value was pretty decent and they did their best to give the show an air of Futurism with the CGI overlays even though everything was shot in current times and they didn't really bother to hide it. Thought it was funny they keep using 90's American cars. The story actually "Could" have been ok if it wasn't for the hack writing and terrible acting. No one, except for the daughter was even remotely likable. The script kept jumping around needing contrived drama. Characters kept changing for no apparent reason. Forced tensions. Inexplicable actions. Maybe in Russia these characters are relatable, I don't know, but it just didn't seem very realistic. All in all this was utterly terrible. Only positive is that the Russian writers haven't fallen prey to the SJW propoganda. No feminists, homosexual, environmental, or political agendas.
I like the US Version of humans much more. Sadly it's canceled. Better than us is not bad but very slow.
This is definitely similar to HUMANS. However, I believe I liked this one just a little bit more. Unlike HUMANS, there is only one seemingly self-aware bot in existence - season 2 may very well change that. It was interesting to see Arisa (the bot in question) become more self-aware and learn and learn and learn. She doesn't always have the best role-models to learn from, but despite that, she seems to learn the right/better choices to make. By the end of the season, I found myself really caring about what she was going through. One fun thing - if you stick around for the credits on episode 16 season 1, there are a couple of minutes of outtakes/bloopers which are fun. How I rate: 1-3  = seriously! don't waste your time 4-6  = you may or may not enjoy this 7-8  = I expect you will like this too 9-10  = movies and TV shows I really love!
Very good series. I love the characters and the story. Best TV show in the category.
I am Sophie and this is my website.
A little about me π I am a marketing student in Paris. I love spending afternoons with friends in a cafe or a park.
But more than anything else, I love watching (.. bingingβ¦) series on my computer on rainy Sundays or any sunny day for that matter π
I must have watched hundreds of shows by now, from romance to science-fiction series. Often I like to go back to a show I enjoyed. But I donβt feel like watching it all over againβ¦
I created this website so myself and others could find the best episodes of our favourite shows. As of today, I have about 1,000 shows on the website with votes and rating coming from fans.
Hopefully, you can join me from your sofa and enjoy some nice TV!
