Everwood

The WB 2002

When Manhattan surgeon Andrew 'Andy' Brown is widowed, he decides to start a whole new life in the idyllic Colorado town Everwood, but gets more than he bargained for - it takes an eternity for a city-boy to fit in the small community, which already had a popular physician, and it's even worse for his unearthed kids, whom he must now parent alone: Ephram, a sensitive kid and gifted pianist, and his little sister Delia. As they all get to know Everwood people and each other better, relationships develop and change.

Having just finished re-watching it 7 years later, I'm impressed that the show has aged so well. This is a family drama that revolves around the lives of a few people, especially the Brown family. The Browns are a family just in name. Andy used to be a famous neurosurgeon in NY and sacrificed his family life in order to further his career. Their moving to Everwood is a desperate attempt to fulfill one last promise he made to his late wife Julia, who had kept them together up until now. He's a stranger to his children and vice-versa, and her wish was for him to mend that. As if the Browns didn't have enough problems of their own, moving to a new town adds many more that they'll have to deal with as they start getting to know the townspeople, especially the Abbotts, whose patriarch Harold is the town's family doctor. It's not all lost though as the Browns also get to meet people that are eager to get to know them and even help. That's especially true for their new neighbor Nina, with whom Andy can relate to since she has to deal with her son all by herself. It's hard trying to explain what Everwood is about because the writting is so good and it deals with such a wide range of subjects in such a sensitive and down-to-earth manner that no description seem to do it justice. A real must-see if you like the genre.

About Me

I am Sophie and this is my website.

A little about me ๐Ÿ‘‹ I am a marketing student in Paris. I love spending afternoons with friends in a cafe or a park.

But more than anything else, I love watching (.. bingingโ€ฆ) series on my computer on rainy Sundays or any sunny day for that matter ๐Ÿ™ˆ

I must have watched hundreds of shows by now, from romance to science-fiction series. Often I like to go back to a show I enjoyed. But I donโ€™t feel like watching it all over againโ€ฆ

I created this website so myself and others could find the best episodes of our favourite shows. As of today, I have about 1,000 shows on the website with votes and rating coming from fans.

Hopefully, you can join me from your sofa and enjoy some nice TV!
