Both seasons are good, with season 2 pretty much concluding but left open for a 3rd. Season 2 has ramped up the blood & guts effects, wasn't necessarily required to tell the story -- but the effects people must've enjoyed themselves. Unique series, nothing else like it. Lots of talent both in front and behind the cameras, very well done.
A really well made series in the category of "who dun it". Very thrilling and certainly well acted and produced. My advice: watch.
I loved season 1 but after it finished the show had a sharp decline in quality. The tense mysterious atmosphere had been raplaced by a human experimantation plot intertwined with a undeveloped political conspiracy that no one even tries to explain. Among the new characters we have a stereotypical corrupt politician, stereotypical junkie delinquents, a killer whoes shamanic rituals and beliefs were also never explained and one of the main characters of the first season was turned into a demonic boogeyman. At this point I feel as if Fortitude is geting the Wayward Pine treatmant, as if Sky atlantic wanted to continiue the show but non of the directors and writers did, so they got an entirely new crew. My recomendation is watch Season 1 and pretend it ended there if you can.
Rather underrated, which is probably the reason for cancellation, but this well written show does many things right. Whether it’s the quirky sci-fi mystery, occasional suspense, great performances by the talented cast, or tense action, Fortitude offers fine entertainment. So it is a shame that it could not get more traction, and remain alive for a few more seasons.
Season 1 was good, but there is no need for season 2. Have to agree with MokiNS and don't waste your time with season 2. Just consider it over. Note: Don't miss the 12th episode of season 1 - it ties everything together. I didn't know there was a 12th episode - it wasn't on any of my streaming apps.
What a great cast, what a wonderful camera and landscape, what a great plot - the perfect series to watch in winter in a warm cosy home ...
Are we getting a second season?
Absolute shame this was cancelled, however they concluded the series extremely well in Season 3. I’d have given this a 10, if it wasn’t so slow to start with. You expect the first few episodes to be slow, but practically the whole of season one was. I was unwell during season one and therefore continued to watch it as I wasn’t well enough to look for something else to watch; but I’m extremely glad I did continue and urge you to watch! This is so original and incredibly well done, from the plot, actors, production etc. It’s an extremely weird and interesting show, with excellent twists, suspense, action. It’s maybe not for the faint hearted, especially the last season. Loved watching Dennis Quad, he’s such a phenomenal actor. Although, I will never see him the same after his toilet scene lol...I will say no more. Really enjoyed having something so original to watch, gutted it’s finished.
I must be from a mirror universe or something because this is another highly rated and praised show I could get nothing out of and that I didn´t bother finishing. It starts interesting with what seems to be a murder/conspiracy but that subsides quickly. The plot moves painfully slow and at the same time there are new plots coming in that seem to be connected but are really not. You get confused as to what is the purpose off it all. Is it about the first dead man ? The second ? The Hotel? The Mammoth ? And during the investigation people are committing crime after crime without getting trialed. There doesn´t even seem to be any judge or court for that matter only that dumb governor. There is no sense in everything. I got to the penultimate episode of the first season with effort but after that I didn´t even care for the final. Too stupid. They could, and should, have arrested half the community from the top down. Oh, and then that horror element when all those wasps came out of the women. That was the last nail. The very few positives of the show are the scenery and the camera angles. The fact that it isn´t a flashy US show with all beautiful people walking around in designer clothes. That could all have been in favor off the show but with this plot I don´t want to waste more time on it.
Please, check the serie at IMDB, the Season 2 contains only 10 episodes.
As much shame and guilt as I feel while watching these reality series, I can never get enough of them. It’s never fun having your own drama, but when it’s blown out of proportion and has nothing to do with you, suddenly it’s something a lot of people want to watch. We’re always looking forward to the next episode and simply can’t wait to see more of it.
I remember watching a lot of “Pokémon”, “Digimon”, “Dragon Ball Z” etc. when I was growing up. Little did I know back then, I wasn’t watching cartoons but animes. Even now that I’m all grown up, I still enjoy watching them. There are many more genres to choose from and it’s always so full of action. The music in it is so great, you’ll definitely find yourself listening to songs long after you’ve finished watching.

A little about me 👋 I am a marketing student in Paris. I love spending afternoons with friends in a cafe or a park.
But more than anything else, I love watching (.. binging…) series on my computer on rainy Sundays or any sunny day for that matter 🙈
I must have watched hundreds of shows by now, from romance to science-fiction series. Often I like to go back to a show I enjoyed. But I don’t feel like watching it all over again…
I created this website so myself and others could find the best episodes of our favourite shows. As of today, I have about 1,000 shows on the website with votes and rating coming from fans.
Hopefully, you can join me from your sofa and enjoy some nice TV!
