I'm catching up on CBC's Heartland, Season 9. I turn into a pre-teen girl who loves horses when I watch this, and I like it! My more sophisticated, cynical, worldly wise friend will think I've lost my mind with my affection for this series, and they are probably right. I give it an 8 (great) out of 10. I think this series is the Anne of Green Gables for its time. Fallible characters, romance, earthy values, and, did I mention, horses.
These characters feel like family. They are well-rounded, lovable characters that have complex relationships with one another. Jack is a gem and Lou is definitely my favourite. Thankfully I grew to love the new characters as much as the old ones.
A Canadian:flag_ca: gem. I've been a fan of this series since the beginning. Horses, romance, family - themes that put the heart in HEARTLAND. Beautiful locations showcasing Canadian:flag_ca: beauty in mountains, fields and forest. Good storytelling. Good cast (Alisha Newton is an upcoming talent to watch). Now in its thirteenth season, it has proven itself a family favourite. I'm always so glad when a new season is renewed. I give the series an 8 (great) out of 10. [Family Drama]
focuses way too much on the romantic storylines, which are immaterial for me. I read the series as a kid to read about horses not teen romances. and frankly the entire show would be better without Amy and Lou's loser jackhole of a father. I find myself skipping entire scenes that he's in out of sheer annoyance.
I grew up on the Heartland book series, and now I love watching the show as well. It's diverted quite a bit from the original story lines (especially for Lou), but it's still a great show to watch. A great family show, and though it focuses a lot on the personal relationships, there is a lot of face time with the horses as well.
LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS SHOW!
I am Sophie and this is my website.
A little about me 👋 I am a marketing student in Paris. I love spending afternoons with friends in a cafe or a park.
But more than anything else, I love watching (.. binging…) series on my computer on rainy Sundays or any sunny day for that matter 🙈
I must have watched hundreds of shows by now, from romance to science-fiction series. Often I like to go back to a show I enjoyed. But I don’t feel like watching it all over again…
I created this website so myself and others could find the best episodes of our favourite shows. As of today, I have about 1,000 shows on the website with votes and rating coming from fans.
Hopefully, you can join me from your sofa and enjoy some nice TV!
