Man....... I'm so excited for this one!
Only three episodes in and it's already my favorite American animated series. Robert Kirkman is a genius. I absolutely **LOVED** the comic book series. Can't wait to see what subtle changes this has in store. Lets Go!!
I figured ....what the hey..i got time to spare... Starts off slow.. Many tropes...an then....
What the eck...gut punch the very first episode...
WOW..
Starts off like okay... I'm interested. Nice animation and voice work. It has adult themes from superhero-like people living amongst society. Think The Boys. However, the ending of the first episode drops and I audibly said wtf in a good way. I'm hooked on this refreshing spin on the genre and it borrows tropes and ideas from all the popular series we know including Hellboy heh. Kirkman.
Wild. Incredible. Nearly flawless in execution.
Maybe my expectations were set poorly because of all the rave reviews but I thought the pacing was terribly slow. I also have no experience with the original source material. I'm still trying to figure out if this is sort of a comedy given the 90s GI Joe animation style (I like it) and the weird random overdramatic subplot with the security guard and his son that seems to have started as an important thing and then just disappeared by episode 3? At least with The Boys, they keep feeding you bits of interesting stuff throughout the episode and pacing you through so that you're constantly being excited. This just seems like a bunch of blah nothing until the last 5-10 mins where they just try to fit in a bunch of interesting stuff at the last second. I finished the first 3 episodes being very 'meh' and while there was some intrigue, it's as if it takes a backseat to mundane coming of age stuff with the main character. Still not sure if this show is for adults or if it's a kids show with a lot of violence added. I could go either way on whether I continue watching on the next batch.
Absolutely AMAZING. This has to be the best superhero medium put into video form aside from One Punch Man. Lately, films and TV have been rapidly going downhill and my hope for good quality entertainment was mostly lost. I was not expecting this level of action, vast worldbuilding, detailed animation, talented voice acting, sophisticated writing, tonal maturity, nor character depth- especially in 2021 after the entire entertainment industry is recovering from the Coronavirus pandemic. In my opinion, this completely blows past any sort of MCU/DCEU movie, animated Justice League adaptation, or really any other animated comic book adaptations. I went into this completely blind, I highly recommend you do the same (and stick around til the end of every episode because they each have additional content after the credits) Unfortunately for now it's only available on Amazon Prime but I will absolutely be purchasing this once it is (hopefully) released on BluRay. This will hang on the _Masterpiece_ shelf in my movie and TV collection.
I recently finished this on Amazon Prime and loved it. For those who don’t know, this is an animated super hero show from the creator of The Walking Dead!
I really didn't expect this much kick ass super hero series. It was phenomenal. The animation, characters were really good. Although there are a lot of gore and blood. But that's how it looks like.
A lot of violent fun with a great cast makes this highly enjoyable and addictive.
This show really cared about characters that I've never heard about before, and made me want to read a comic I've never heard of. That's how much I enjoyed this show. There's so much to like in this first season. Great, brutal action (since the animation shines with it), great and complex characters, great world-building and nice heart to it all. And I loved how raw this felt. Now there were things that bugged me, like some characters felt one note and inconsistent (Amber and William) And the animation can be pretty clunky at times, especially during episode 4. **However overall, I loved this first season, but I hope the animation improves! (8.9/10)**
[Amazon] Continuing the superhero subversion that began with "The boys" (2019-), Robert Kirkman's comic adaptation offers an interesting approach to adult animation with violence. Once we use to seeing heads busted, we could ask for more in character development, but a brilliant visual concept (perhaps too much of 90s style) and a spectacular voice cast are enough to create one of the most funny animation shows.
Watching royalty can sometimes make us feel like we are a part of royalty, but it also shows that being a leader usually isn’t as easy as it could seem. A little about me 👋 I am a marketing student in Paris. I love spending afternoons with friends in a cafe or a park.
But more than anything else, I love watching (.. binging…) series on my computer on rainy Sundays or any sunny day for that matter 🙈
I must have watched hundreds of shows by now, from romance to science-fiction series. Often I like to go back to a show I enjoyed. But I don’t feel like watching it all over again…
I created this website so myself and others could find the best episodes of our favourite shows. As of today, I have about 1,000 shows on the website with votes and rating coming from fans.
Hopefully, you can join me from your sofa and enjoy some nice TV!
