So far so good - pretty fun show. Coach Lasso is such a positive character, the show put me in a good mood pretty easily. Love Jason Sudeikis of course Edit after finishing the first season: Fantastic show all around, I looked forward to it every week. Coach Lasso dealing with his struggles as he brings together the team makes for an interesting and entertaining story
I watched the trailer and thought well here's another silly show - watched it anyway and loved it! it's a great story of human nature and thoroughly entertaining.
I am not a Football/Soccer fan, but I thought this show would be funny and amusing... I was not disappointed. I watched the 1st 3 episodes and can't wait for the next one!
can't think off the top of my head if there has been another SNL skit turned into a full on series years later. what was basically a one dimensional character with a couple jokes on the differences between american football and traditional football, somehow pulls off being an engaging and enjoyable watch. i watched it pretty much expecting it to be garbage given its genesis, but like many of the other comments say, i was won over more and more by the characters and overall optimism it instills. tldr; feel good show of the year.
I really loved the original skit on YouTube but I did not think it would translate to a full show. But boy was I wrong. And it's great to have such a positive and optimistic character during these times. Also as a european football that loves to make fun of dumb american fans (all in good fun) this show is gold haha,
I expected absolutely nothing from this. A generic, forgettable sports sitcom. BOY WAS I WRONG. This isn't world-changing TV or anything, it remains well within the constraints of the genre and of stock characters, but it is a show with such a warm, positive outlook on the world, you just gotta appreciate that. Everyone in this show is either a legitimately good person, or is a person with faults who is trying to become better. It's rare that you get a cast of characters who are just....GOOD at heart. We just get to watch good people grow and try to get along in this show, with some decent jokes thrown in, and I appreciate that a lot. I had a very comforting time with Ted and the gang.
_Ted Lasso_ is my new definition of feel good tv!
I just had to change my initial rating of 9. For me, this is the best comedy show by far this year. So a 10 is totally appropriate.
Heartwarming and charming, Ted Lasso instantly puts me in a good mood.
Love football, thought the premise set it up to be a fun watch. It’s been both that and touching at times. Looking forward to the next season.
It’s literally scary how fantastic this show is
So wholesome and so funny, really felt like a bright spot in this year. Going to start a rewatch already...
Great show..we all could use a lil more positivity in our lives... I'm more like Ted's Lasso's cousin Ned Asshole bahahaha seriously though.you should most definitely check out Daily Dose of Internet's YouTube channel..it pairs wonderfully with Ted
Ted Lasso is the proof that a well-written series with good complex characters is just good enough to work. And it does splendidly. It's definitely not my kind of comedy, this has close to zero satire and it focus more on the drama, but it delights just because of the basics of writing applied by the book, and a great underdog premise.
The show is really good. I've seen all these positive reviews but for some reason the trailer made me think it's some cringe comedy and I kept avoiding it. This has nothing to do with cringe comedy and it's actually a very good feel good light comedy. Really nice to have these kind of shows every now and then. Looking forward for the second season.
Just finished season 1 and I honestly never thought I would see a sitcom like this come into existence. Sudekis has done a great job blending the optimistic sitcom stylings of the US with the more down to earth and cynical take you often get from british sitcoms. It is somehow both wholesome, uplifting and at the same time tackles some tough issues and weighty subject matter. The title character played by Sudekis is charming and likable but also vulnerable and flawed and a fascinating character to watch as the first season unfolds. Possibly Sudekis' best work to date. Looking forward to season 2!
Couldn't get passed the first 2 episodes will all the Apple product placements. The ads took me out of it.
Season 1 was a perfect 10, season 2 is more of a 7/8 so I'll split the difference for now. What a wholesome wonderful show, I am so in love with these characters and their relationships, I can't wait for more episodes! Also, who else besides me is shipping a Roy-Jamie-Keeley throuple??? We need some queer representation on this magical show!
This did not sound like my thing. Heart-warming? Sports-themed? Yet damn you Ted Lasso you roped me in! I should have listened to the critics... I thought he was some kind of 21st Century Forest Gump but the writing is much sharper than that.
Superb! Series. A lot of laughs, Jason Sudeikis played it really well.
While we celebrated the Pride month just now, why not talk about some awesome TV shows focused on LGBT characters. What if you want to learn about the people at large but you realize that there is no diversity in your close social circles. That’s when a good TV series can enlighten you with the ideas and realities. It can also save you from awkward moments in the real life by providing the right insights.
Because I’m watching so many imaginary scenarios, it’s nice to take a look at things that actually happened every once in a while. The drama from documentaries really feels a lot different than those from series you just know didn’t happen. I love being aware of everything that is or has been going on and Netflix is really great at helping us with that.
I remember watching a lot of “Pokémon”, “Digimon”, “Dragon Ball Z” etc. when I was growing up. Little did I know back then, I wasn’t watching cartoons but animes. Even now that I’m all grown up, I still enjoy watching them. There are many more genres to choose from and it’s always so full of action. The music in it is so great, you’ll definitely find yourself listening to songs long after you’ve finished watching.
I am Sophie and this is my website.
A little about me 👋 I am a marketing student in Paris. I love spending afternoons with friends in a cafe or a park.
But more than anything else, I love watching (.. binging…) series on my computer on rainy Sundays or any sunny day for that matter 🙈
I must have watched hundreds of shows by now, from romance to science-fiction series. Often I like to go back to a show I enjoyed. But I don’t feel like watching it all over again…
I created this website so myself and others could find the best episodes of our favourite shows. As of today, I have about 1,000 shows on the website with votes and rating coming from fans.
Hopefully, you can join me from your sofa and enjoy some nice TV!
