Jared Harris and John Lithgow are amazing in their roles. And the high production budget (highest ever for Netflix) really shows. All the scenes look fantastic. And it got Hans Zimmer doing the music. That should speak for itself.

I had the privilege of seeing the first two episodes at an advance screening event in Australia and have to say they are truly excellent. The writing, acting and direction are sublime and it, appropriately, looks like a million bucks (pounds?). There is just the right amount of humour and I was surprisingly moved by the story due to the stellar performances from the entire cast.

Very good drama... love it...looking forward the second series...

One of the best historical drama series of all time!

I was really impressed with Matt Smith in this role. The entire cast was remarkable, but his performance was especially noteworthy. John Lithgow as Winston Churchill seemed strange at first, but really worked and was just as impressive. Claire Foy was lovely to watch and really came to inhabit the role of Elizabeth II. I'm excited to see how the rest of series plays out, especially if its projected to have 60 episodes depicting Elizabeth's life all the way up to the present day.

There is no doubt that the most beautiful episodes are those in which the main characters are Matt Smith, Jared Harris and John Lithgow. God save all of them but the Queen. I'm sorry but Claire Foy is not up to that role

I want to see the second season very soon!!

With a title like "The Crown" it sounds boring. However it's quite the opposite and offers good insight into the background of the early days of the current royal family and the Queen.

Another superb season of THE CROWN - superb acting, drama and production. A really well writtten docudrama featuring the highs and low of our Queen's reign amid the sweep of world history. Must watch TV, available on Netflix. Unsurprisingly, I give it a 10 (superb) out of 10. [Fictionalized Historical Drama]

Will be very interesting to see how the series handles the whole Diana thing.

Best Royal Drama TV Series (Including The Crown)

The Crown

When Elizabeth II became the Queen of the United Kingdom and married Prince Phillip, a new era was set to begin. Observing the Windsor family there are many more affairs, conspiracies and plots than one would think and we get to watch as it all unveils in front of our eyes. Since the Queen usually stays out of the public eye, it is satisfying to see another side to her, which makes her more relatable to the average viewer. The show is so good, that even Queen Elizabeth’s granddaughter herself said she loved it!

Reign

The story follows Mary, Queen of Scots, during her stay in France from when she was only 15 years old. Although this series characters are based on history, it has much more drama and fiction than the real story, but that is exactly what makes it so intriguing, along with one of the best cast I have ever seen and the production quality that is simply astonishing. Every time the episode ends, you will find yourself wanting more instantly.

Game of Thrones

Although there are many kings and queens in Game of Thrones, this is not your typical royal scene. In order to make it to the Iron Throne, there are many sacrifices one must make and it seems like everybody is ready to do whatever it takes. With 8 great houses ready to play, so many main characters are involved and it’s tough to decide who you want to see winning it all. It does consist of plenty of fantasy, including some dragons, but the whole story is so amazingly written that it all looks very possible at the same time. However, if you do have a weak stomach, then this might not be such a good option for you.

About Me

I am Sophie and this is my website.

A little about me 👋 I am a marketing student in Paris. I love spending afternoons with friends in a cafe or a park.

But more than anything else, I love watching (.. binging…) series on my computer on rainy Sundays or any sunny day for that matter 🙈

I must have watched hundreds of shows by now, from romance to science-fiction series. Often I like to go back to a show I enjoyed. But I don’t feel like watching it all over again…

I created this website so myself and others could find the best episodes of our favourite shows. As of today, I have about 1,000 shows on the website with votes and rating coming from fans.

Hopefully, you can join me from your sofa and enjoy some nice TV!
