The Late Show with Stephen Colbert

The Late Show with Stephen Colbert

CBS 2015

Improv actor and comic Stephen Colbert leaves his "The Colbert Report" character behind as he makes his long-awaited return to television. As the host of The Late Show franchise redux - taped at the historic Ed Sullivan Theatre at New York - Colbert talks to actors, athletes, politicians, comics, artists and musicians as himself for the first time. Loyal fans, however, will also be treated to consistency as Colbert remains backed by many members of his writing and digital team from his former venture. Julliard-trained Jon Batiste serves as the bandleader.

Monologue is ok and side stuff is similar to what he did with his old show which was great, solid interviews which are normally lacking in other late night shows like The Tonight Show where they just pander to the guest and don't add anything to the conversation other than prescript-ed answers. All in all good show and here's hoping Colbert can keep this going for many years.

Not only does this provide the most laughs out of any other show for my wife and I, but it covers current events and politics so succinctly that its the only TV news we watch (all else is read on Apple News). It's our favorite show, and one we look forward to watching together even more than 24: Legacy, Sense8, Seinfeld, or Designated Survivor! It's even better than SNL's Trump/Political Skits. It's easiest just to catch it on YouTube (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCMtFAi84ehTSYSE9XoHefig) on weekdays around 8:30pm PST (or more often, anytime the next day), which makes it easy to skip over most of the interviews and musical performances and just get the comedic news, animations, and political satire. Colbert is the only positive thing to come out of having Trump for president and the only thing that makes it just this side of bearable.

watched the pilot, but colbert just isnt funny (he has never been), felt i wasted my time, will skip this version of the late show.

Unimpressed, worst monologue, doesn't have a funny bone in his entire life. It is so repetitive it's sickening. Even Johnny Carson dead could make better jokes.

About Me

I am Sophie and this is my website.

A little about me 👋 I am a marketing student in Paris. I love spending afternoons with friends in a cafe or a park.

But more than anything else, I love watching (.. binging…) series on my computer on rainy Sundays or any sunny day for that matter 🙈

I must have watched hundreds of shows by now, from romance to science-fiction series. Often I like to go back to a show I enjoyed. But I don’t feel like watching it all over again…

I created this website so myself and others could find the best episodes of our favourite shows. As of today, I have about 1,000 shows on the website with votes and rating coming from fans.

Hopefully, you can join me from your sofa and enjoy some nice TV!
