Really enjoyed the first ep, just the right amount of funny, serious and interesting. Looking forward to more.
This first episode shows an interesting plot, I hope that as the series progresses, the different versions of Henry will be clearly resolved.
Calling it a romance is almost misleading. I guess it is romantic to the right person. Because honestly, this whole thing just seems like a pedophile fantasy. Feels pretty gross. Oooh no it's all predestined. 28-42 year old me, who's already married to this girl is gonna time travel to the time and place where she is 7, I have no choice or control over it. Better get to the grooming so that I can fulfill the self fulfilling prophecy marriage. Because whatever I do I can't change it. Oh and every time I time travel I'm naked too sorry. All the arguments I've heard defending it like "he doesn't have a choice" etc. Is right up there with the anime "1000 year old god in a 10 year old body" excuse. I know it's adapted from the book. I haven't read it, and I don't know if they presented this whole thing as a romance or a tragedy( I guess that would improve things?) but as of now the only conclusion here is that all of it was a conscious choice. They *could* have made it at least relatively normal, instead of repeatedly having a grown naked man meet a child, who becomes increasingly horny for him with every interaction.
Movie is better. Tough to drag out same story in a series.
Enjoyed the movie and this series seems that it will touch on more, go deeper, and be even more heartfelt with more time to do so. As a Doctor Who and Sherlock fan, all I can say is Moffat!
The 1st episode piqued my interest. The 2nd episode completely caught me, and I'm here for the whole ride.
What is the name of the show: The husband of The Time Traveller's Wife? No, so, it's a femme point of view, I get it.
The interview format allowed them to explain the concept quickly, but also made it seem silly. "Ha ha ha, everytime I show up I'm naked." Hopefully a real little girl goes and tells her parents when a voice in the forest says "I'm naked and want to be your new friend." And why did they have the little girl say she was "Grooming" her horse when talking to her formerly naked new adult friend? I got past those problems and don't hate the show overall as much as I should, because the male lead has the charisma to pull off his role well. He is handsome, has a strong masculine voice, presence, and body. Everytime he appears he is naked.
I'm not big into love stories, but I have to say this show is really captivating. It's such a well-made show with such a fascinating, and at times confusing, story. Brilliant acting by the cast so far.
I started watching The Time Traveller's Wife last night. I loved the book and read it so many times i dogeared the copy I had.I hated the movie that came out some years back. Eric Bana and that Adams chick just didn't capture the characters for me. Theo James though... oh gosh, he is Henry. He's absolutely Henry. Rose Leslie is a good actress, and she's doing a good job, I am not sure I like her as Claire. I'm not sure why, but she's just not fitting the picture I made in my head about this woman with guts and long love. I can't fault her acting though, she's doing a great job. But it's Theo doing it for me. I honestly am yet to not like him in anything. I can't tell if I think he's pretty, or if he's a good actor or a bad actor. I just like watching him... he makes me believe every character I've seen him play. And say what, for me, he has definitely captured Henry's humor, his fear, his kindness, his ruthlessness, his wily cunningness, all of it... I particularly loved the scene with him and Rose Leslie
in The Stacks where Henry introduces Claire to his mother
. Gosh... he totally sold me. I read a half and half kind of review from a big outlet a couple of weeks ago, and was very surprised someone attempted this story again, and was totally prepared for another wan attempt, but no... I am really liking this. This is definitely doing some justice to Niffenegger's beautiful love story.
One of the best romantic series. The storyline is so magnetic. It keeps you hooked. All those moments in the show are so beautifully performed by actors and such a marvelously directed show. This show will definitely make you think about life. And I can assure one thing. Every time you will watch, you would come up with a new question in your mind waiting to be answered.
Lately, I’ve been re-watching a lot of tv shows I used to watch growing up. Even though it makes perfect sense, I was really surprised how different was my point of view now, than it was ten or fifteen years ago. Suddenly, my favorite characters aren’t the favorites anymore. Besides, I’ve forgotten tons of what was happening, that’s why I had so much fun re-watching everything. I highly suggest you do the same thing!
Mixing reality shows and food seems like the perfect combination for just about anyone. I always get amazed what some people are able to make under a huge amount of pressure. The cooking shows are so entertaining as well, because it’s always regular people competing. Just make sure not to watch them on an empty stomach!
As much shame and guilt as I feel while watching these reality series, I can never get enough of them. It’s never fun having your own drama, but when it’s blown out of proportion and has nothing to do with you, suddenly it’s something a lot of people want to watch. We’re always looking forward to the next episode and simply can’t wait to see more of it.
I am Sophie and this is my website.
A little about me 👋 I am a marketing student in Paris. I love spending afternoons with friends in a cafe or a park.
But more than anything else, I love watching (.. binging…) series on my computer on rainy Sundays or any sunny day for that matter 🙈
I must have watched hundreds of shows by now, from romance to science-fiction series. Often I like to go back to a show I enjoyed. But I don’t feel like watching it all over again…
I created this website so myself and others could find the best episodes of our favourite shows. As of today, I have about 1,000 shows on the website with votes and rating coming from fans.
Hopefully, you can join me from your sofa and enjoy some nice TV!
