Top Gear

BBC One 2002

This fast-paced and stunt-filled motor show tests whether cars, both mundane and extraordinary, live up to their manufacturers' claims. The long-running show travels to locations around the world, performing extreme stunts and challenges to see what the featured cars are capable of doing. Celebrity guests appear on some episodes to help test the vehicles. Things don't always go as planned, though, with broken bones and mechanical mishaps sometimes part of the experiments.

Season 27 - Episode 1

Everyone remembers their first car, no matter how rubbish. The new-found independence. The glorious freedom. The terrible brakes. The terrible smells. Keen to delve into the new presenting team’s motoring history, the producers told Paddy, Freddie and Chris to each go out and buy a fine example of their own first car, for just four thousand pounds. And, if a fine example of their own first car didn’t exist for just four thousand pounds, to buy a less-than-fine example that hopefully worked at least a bit. Purchases secured, the presenters were told to report for a trip down Memory Lane in quite frankly the only logical place to test a trio of battered first cars: Ethiopia. The birthplace of humankind. A land of vast mountains, jaw-dropping world heritage sites, and the Danakil Depression, the hottest year-round place on Earth…

Would it be possible to distinguish between Top Gear AS WAS vs the new imposter. I don't want to not have Top Gear on my watchlist but I also don't want to be reminded of "new" episodes.

avatar

"BBC TV and radio presenter Chris Evans is stepping down from Top Gear, he announces on Twitter" - HAH. Thank the car gods.

avatar

The noises I make while watching this show are just not human... great start into series 19 today! Fun from start to end and I curse the day when this season will be over waaaay to soon again. :/

avatar

Mixing improbable car review, quality shooting and Clarckson's dubious humour. RIP TopGear Thanks God, Top Gear Two (I mean The Grand Tour) is on Amazon Prime. :D

avatar

Amazing how they can keep this series going with all the humour, laughed my ass off at the latest episode of season 21.

avatar

The Beeb have almost found the combination with the three current presenters, however, I can't help feeling that Rory Reid should be replaced by someone who isn't quite such a moron. The other 2 are great fun though.

avatar

Infinitely watchable. There's always an episode you missed and if there's not, every single episode is rewatchable and it will still be hilarious. The cinematography is also outstanding. This is all speaking of the Clarkson-era Top Gear, ofcourse.

avatar

jennifer clarkson is the best =))

avatar

This new show is actually better than the last few with Clarkson and Co. They actually try to shake up the formula and bring really thoughtful reviews on cars. Review of Fiat 124 comes to mind immediately. Compare that to the "review" of kia Stinger on Grand tour...

amazing TV show that i 've ever seen

About Me

I am Sophie and this is my website.

A little about me 👋 I am a marketing student in Paris. I love spending afternoons with friends in a cafe or a park.

But more than anything else, I love watching (.. binging…) series on my computer on rainy Sundays or any sunny day for that matter 🙈

I must have watched hundreds of shows by now, from romance to science-fiction series. Often I like to go back to a show I enjoyed. But I don’t feel like watching it all over again…

I created this website so myself and others could find the best episodes of our favourite shows. As of today, I have about 1,000 shows on the website with votes and rating coming from fans.

Hopefully, you can join me from your sofa and enjoy some nice TV!
