And then it was CANCELLED by the end of season 1 with only 10 episodes. I've come to believe that the TV industry has become spoiled by the low cost, low budget, low quality invention of Reality Shows. It seems that any new show that comes out, if it doesn't kill the ratings the first season and in some cases I've seen the first 3 episodes, the TV Executives kill it. This show had some real potential and could have gone in so many directs, hell the whole first season was like a roller coaster ride of suspense and discovery and twists at every turn. I love a show that when you start to think you know what's going on, something else happens that makes you say, "NO Fing Way"! So sad that the TV industry has forgotten what commitment, loyalty and belief to a show is and that it may take some word-of-mouth and the like to gain larger audiences but if you kill it early, you'll never know. I guess it really is all about the money but then again maybe the Internet and online programming like Netflix (and others) will start to change all that with better shows.


At first, I was thinking "i've seen this before".. and then it hit me, its the town from Eureka


A new show that is going to put you on the edge of your seat. It's by the M Night Shyamalan team but don't think of it as a bad thing & Don't let that put you off, Wayward Pines Has a Vintage Shyamalan Feel.


This show is beyond retarded...


Season 1: Quite interesting premise. Matt Dillon as a key character. Yeah, it was OK and watchable. Season 2: Why on earth did I waste my time. Wow. Very thin story. Not a lot of sense made throughout. Some very strange ideologies. Finished off with a poor ending. If I had the opportunity again I wouldn’t bother.


Season 1 was sort of OK, more of a mash-up of the books, with the plot sequence of events being substantially rearranged. Season 2 seems to be more 'inspired-by' the original story than 'based-on'. Reminds me of what was done with Humans compared to the original Real Humans (Äkta människor) , which by the final episode had absolutely nothing in common with the original story. Not a huge deal, authors are in it to make money, and having their stories purchased to be made into video is the ultimate jackpot -- selling the rights to have their original work modified however the purchaser wants is part and parcel to the process. Personally, I'm glad to have been able to read and watch the originals. If you enjoyed season 1, skip season 2 and read the Wayward Pines trilogy :-)


ABSOLUTELY GREAT SERIES! ITS LIKE A ROLLER COASTER OF SUSPENSE. I FIND MYSELF ANXIOUSLY AWAITING THE NEXT EPISODE EVERY WEEK, THEY ALWAYS LEAVE U W/SUCH DRAMATIC ENDINGS, ALWAYS WANTING MORE! ONE OF MY FAVORITE SHOWS LATELY. Don't get too hung up on some of the poor reviews u see. Be prepared the first few episodes can sometimes have a slow start, once u r all caught up w/the characters & what is going on, then the show really picks up w/so many twists & turns, & unexpected things, the suspense is amazing! Just realize going in, THIS IS A SCI-FI SERIES, u cannot get hung up on holding the writers accountable to explaining every little detail, like how come they have beer, where did it come from, that detail is unimportant to the storyline, it's not going to be explained. Just move past that, remember IT'S A SHOW- NOT REALITY & ur not going to see flawless scripts, that explain every detail, ur meant to sometimes use ur imagination & not overthink every detail. There's not enough time to get into that level of detail. No worries though as ALL THE IMPORTANT QUESTIONS R ANSWERED. If ur a critic, who needs every single detail explained thoroughly, w/out gaps or things left unexplained, then it may not be for u. However, if u like suspense, & shows that keep u on the edge of ur seat, that r full of surprises that u NEVER see coming, then U WILL LOVE THIS SHOW! This show just gets better & better! I enjoyed Season 1 quite a bit. When Season 2 started, I realized many of the characters I really grew to love, such as Terrance Howard, or Matt Dillion were gone, I was prepared for the show to start to kind of suck. But then a whole new cast was introduced, w/main characters like Jason Patric, it was EVEN BETTER than the 1st season. I loved the dramtic ending especially w/Jason & Kerry, talk about something u NEVER SAW COMING! Also, the way they left things, showing u that last frame w/the Abbie holding a baby, so many possibilities for Season 3! SUPER EXCITED!!!


Without spoilers: Great show until episode 5-6. Then it starts to suck. [spoiler]I digged the first 5-6 episodes. It was kinda switching between genres. Mystery to Survival, to SciFi. This was a really cool concept. Unfortunately this couldn't go on forever. So the show started to get worse and predictable. Then they started to kill off the older actor generation and the show started to focus on the younger generation problems. Kinda like Under The Dome. [/spoiler]


but why, it finished so well...


FOX has renewed the show for a second season, in summer 2016!
