Good series, albeit a bit slow to get going, but should have been given another series.
Very sad this didn't last longer. There is so much they could have done.
I was a huge fan of the original BSG from the moment I say it back in the early 80s. I flat out rejected the remake at first only to discover later when I did watch it that it´s one of the best shows I´d seen. That´s why I went into Caprica with an open mind and without prejudice. It´s a good show, I do not see this as a soap, but here´s the thing. It would have work without beeing part of the BSG mythology. Maybe it would have worked better, maybe it would have last longer. Because it´s not enough BSG for the fans and to much of it for the casual viewer. Ron Moore says in an interview on the DVD set that they basically put two ideas for a show together - one about Artifical Intelligence and one about the origin of the Cylons. And that´s how it felt. As I said, it´s a good series, I liked it, but the plot every now and then feels pressured to fit the BSG mythology.
I've rewatched this series 10 years after it aired, and boy did it not age well. It's just a bunch of nothing happening to uninteresting characters and it goes on and on and on... Nothing happens for entire episodes, only for movement to take place in the last 10 seconds to set up the next episode. There's also a LOT of plot happening with religious factions fighting each other and I... don't... care... I like some of the characters: Zoe is great, and I like Joseph Adama and Daniel Gladstone. The rest of the characters tend to be mired by boring plots that really don't move the story towards any kind of satisfying resolution. Someone should re-edit the whole thing into a 2-hour movie and it would probably be fine. As it is, it's 100% skippable even if you're invested in the BSG universe.
i miss this show... the mix of noir, scifi and society drama grew on me.
I finished watching it and did enjoy this as a decent sci-fi show, but not nearly as much as Battlestar Galactica. I guess it was a mistake to label it as the next Battlestar Galactica, because it's an entirely different kind of show and people will always compare the two and Caprica will always lose. There were some nice concepts: V-World, Mono-theism and the mobster Adama's were all great. There were just two problems: the story moved too slow and they tried too hard linking it to Battlestar Galactica.
I didn't get further that the first episode. I like drama tv shows, but this was a little too mutch.
basically a soap opera. awful
it's been cancelled because of audience problem. i'm sad there won't be a second season when i see the first season end. blood & chrome has already been ordered by syfy
I like the show but understand why it might be pulled. Unfortunatly the plot lines are just developing so slowly every time I watch I ask myself when they are going to start hitting some kind of stride. Totally missing is the tension that made battlestar galactica great. Just my .02.
Don’t know about you, but since the lockdown, I have had more free time than ever. Maybe it’s because we did not actually realize how much time we were wasting. So the other day, whilst I was pouring myself a glass of wine, I remembered how much I love and missed genre “Fantasy”. It was my favorite genre since growing up, maybe because I was too much into Avatar, but yeah I miss it. So today let’s talk about best fantasy TV shows.
In times like this, when we’re all trying to stay safe and stay home as much as possible, it is very important to enjoy ourselves and feel relaxed while doing so. Thankfully, we have Netflix to help us out in our quest, but with so many series to choose from, you might spend hours browsing and still not being able to decide! That’s why I made this list to help you out.
Lately, I’ve been re-watching a lot of tv shows I used to watch growing up. Even though it makes perfect sense, I was really surprised how different was my point of view now, than it was ten or fifteen years ago. Suddenly, my favorite characters aren’t the favorites anymore. Besides, I’ve forgotten tons of what was happening, that’s why I had so much fun re-watching everything. I highly suggest you do the same thing!
I am Sophie and this is my website.
A little about me 👋 I am a marketing student in Paris. I love spending afternoons with friends in a cafe or a park.
But more than anything else, I love watching (.. binging…) series on my computer on rainy Sundays or any sunny day for that matter 🙈
I must have watched hundreds of shows by now, from romance to science-fiction series. Often I like to go back to a show I enjoyed. But I don’t feel like watching it all over again…
I created this website so myself and others could find the best episodes of our favourite shows. As of today, I have about 1,000 shows on the website with votes and rating coming from fans.
Hopefully, you can join me from your sofa and enjoy some nice TV!
