What a phenomenal show! Being a Marvel production, I fully expected something of quality, but my expectations were blown entirely out of the water. Daredevil has easily taken its place among my favorite shows currently on air and far surpasses the current lineup of comic book-based television properties (including Marvel's own Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.). The cast is great. Charlie Cox brings emotional weight to Matt Murdock and an intimidating presence to his vigilante alter ego. Supporting players Deborah Ann Woll, Elden Henson, and Rosario Dawson, all make their respective roles feel critical, never distracting or annoying. But it's Vincent D'Onofrio that really steals the spotlight as Wilson Fisk, bringing to life a villain who is not only vicious and truly terrifying, but also heartbreakingly pitiful. Daredevil's writing separates it from the current crop of superhero television. The progression of the plot is well organized and dialog rarely (if ever) crosses that line into comic book corniness. You really get the sense that the show runners had a clear vision for where they wanted this freshman season to go, while still laying groundwork for future seasons. Never does it feel like you're just being strung along for bigger and better things to come next season. And the show doesn't constantly try to remind you of the broader Marvel Cinematic Universe, as any references to it are (usually) subtle. But perhaps Daredevil's greatest strength is its cinematography. Fight sequences are expertly choreographed and coherent (not to mention brutally gritty), even rivaling those of Captain America: The Winter Soldier. The production value is top notch, probably thanks to the refreshingly limited reliance on CGI. But what impressed me the most was the brave willingness to let the camera linger or even meander occasionally. Ending episode 2 with a minutes-long single take fight sequence had me speechless, and is a testament to the level of quality brought to the show. Daredevil is a strong addition to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. I think Marvel's partnership with Netflix could prove to be one of their best decisions regarding their television properties and I look forward to future shows like A.K.A. Jessica Jones and Luke Cage.
I was hyped for this show massively, and now that it has arrived I cannot say I am disappointed. The small touches of Matt showing that he is blind are great, fumbling for his keys throughout the scenes. Although they are not big key moments it shows that they paid attention when producing this series. The actors play the characters well, and they really shine in their roles. They work well together as a cast and the way in which they collide. The fight scenes are some of my favourites I have seen throughout a TV series and are done really well, they take into consideration that he is blind, but really engage with the user. Overall I'm happy with this series and wish to see more. It's not over the top, it is pinned together well. 9/10 on my part.
Again Marvel and again Great series can't wait to see pilot
Really really amazing show... I would recommend it to anyone who is a fan of suspense/thrillers. It has a great plot & story-telling to it, while it explores the lives of the main leads of the show(Matt Murdock & Wilson Fisk). It keeps us holding to our seat. Its not like other shows which are action based. it has well written dialogue to it. what i'm saying is many action shows either use childish approach or very adult one(using more abusive words). shows nowadays also use more R- rated stuff, but this did not need any of it to deliver what was promised/ anticipated. And that's what I like the most about it. I loved the show ... just one question though ...who as 'stick' talking to when he finished his mission for eliminating 'black sky'? and does this means we'll be seeing more of daredevil??
Daredevil is a bold step in a darker direction for Marvel, and one of the studio's greatest adaptations to date.
I'm not one for words, however I'll say this. Westworld used to be my favorite show of all time, until I watched Daredevil. It is truly a masterpiece, with top notch acting. Charlie Cox does an excellent job at representing the Daredevil. The characters are very interesting, and you get to know most of them at a personal level, understanding the rationale behind their actions. 10/10 recommended. Don't miss out.
Finally finished that snore fest Daredevil season 2. Was a chore. Even with a Punisher storyline and top production values and violence, the god awful cast and monotone script can't be saved.
One of the best Superhero TV Show ever made.Comparing with other show this series shows that sh*t happens with heroes to and the way deal with it,every season is action packed and awesome. The cast is also very good with great dialogues and amazing story line.Charlie Cox has played Daredevil very well and if you are superhero fan believe me you will not want to miss it.
I'm only on the second episode but I'm in love and believe this show is very deserving of the high ratings and praise it's been getting. Already regretting any time I wasted on CW's superhero shows. So far they fail in comparison to this piece of cinematic art.
When it comes to superhero Shows, this is close to perfection. The acting, the writing, the fight scenes, the storytelling, the heroes and antagonists, All of them are the best we've seen in a superhero show.
In times like this, when we’re all trying to stay safe and stay home as much as possible, it is very important to enjoy ourselves and feel relaxed while doing so. Thankfully, we have Netflix to help us out in our quest, but with so many series to choose from, you might spend hours browsing and still not being able to decide! That’s why I made this list to help you out.
Mixing reality shows and food seems like the perfect combination for just about anyone. I always get amazed what some people are able to make under a huge amount of pressure. The cooking shows are so entertaining as well, because it’s always regular people competing. Just make sure not to watch them on an empty stomach!
As much shame and guilt as I feel while watching these reality series, I can never get enough of them. It’s never fun having your own drama, but when it’s blown out of proportion and has nothing to do with you, suddenly it’s something a lot of people want to watch. We’re always looking forward to the next episode and simply can’t wait to see more of it.
I am Sophie and this is my website.
A little about me 👋 I am a marketing student in Paris. I love spending afternoons with friends in a cafe or a park.
But more than anything else, I love watching (.. binging…) series on my computer on rainy Sundays or any sunny day for that matter 🙈
I must have watched hundreds of shows by now, from romance to science-fiction series. Often I like to go back to a show I enjoyed. But I don’t feel like watching it all over again…
I created this website so myself and others could find the best episodes of our favourite shows. As of today, I have about 1,000 shows on the website with votes and rating coming from fans.
Hopefully, you can join me from your sofa and enjoy some nice TV!
