I shouldn't have watched the entire season in one day but I regret nothing

Finished binge watching the series and wow, what a great series it was! Very true to the original tone of the comics with some great references to the MCU and Netflix Daredevil series. Can't wait to see more of Jess in the Defenders show and hopefully in future upcoming Marvel Netflix series!

It´s not the masterpiece people would have you believe ( this days the hype with super heroes is a bit to much ) its a good show. and that´s it.

avatar

Meh... Whatever. Totally underwhelmed...by every character. This was like the show they made with leftover funds from Daredevil.

Cant wait this show is gonna be BIG!

Marvel & Netflix make the perfect baby.

There are many superhero shows out there, The Flash, Arrow, Supergirl, but their storyline and atmosphere are so different from Daredevil and Jessica Jones. Jessica Jones is immersed in a dark and intriguing atmosphere, surrounded by abuse, rape and injustice, she tries to just live. I loved the cast, especially Krysten Ritter and David Tennant, who played marvelously a villain so three-dimensional, so complex compared to other villains on tv. Killgrave is the most interesting villain I have encountered, his power represents what every human fears but besides that, he is motivated by some of the most pure emotions. One of the aspects that I loved is that, in just one season, we see a huge character development in every character (which is refreshing for a superhero tv series). There were some aspects that irritated me at the beginning . I don’t know anything about Marvel or DC Comics, nothing about superheroes and their worlds. So I kept asking myself if Jessica Jones was an inhuman, how did she get her powers, if this was in the same universe as Daredevil, etc. Later I got my answers to these (a little bit stupid) questions, although I still think they should have introduced me better to Jessica Jones’ world. (I also spotted some goofs through the season and let me tell you, if I saw then, everybody did.) I’m not going to lie, the fact this is a series about women only makes me like it more. It’s so rare to find women as leads in quality TV shows, it’s time for the world to realize having a woman leading a show doesn’t make it weaker, most of the time it makes it even stronger. I admit I enjoyed Daredevil much more but this still captivated me so much. It is a breath of fresh air. For more reviews please check secretsanddoors.wordpress.com :)

I also binge watched the whole season in one day and I loved it!!! I couldn't stop watching. If it wasn't for the occasional toilet brake, I would have thought Killgrave told me to keep watching non-stop ;-)

the first season was one of the best ones out of the marvel netflix shows but season two was one of the worst. if you wanted to check this show out, pretend it ended at season one.

I would plead the MCU, to abort this fucking show forever. Or they could at least erase that Marvel tag from there. I thought DC was doing a screw-up with their "Arrow" [or should I say Green Arrow now? I don't know, I stopped watching that too.] But now I see Marvel isn't far behind too! At least "The Flash" had its moments of humor! It lacked that too. N.B. Some people compared Jessica with Daredevil. To them, I say this: don't you ever fucking dare to do that!

About Me

I am Sophie and this is my website.

A little about me 👋 I am a marketing student in Paris. I love spending afternoons with friends in a cafe or a park.

But more than anything else, I love watching (.. binging…) series on my computer on rainy Sundays or any sunny day for that matter 🙈

I must have watched hundreds of shows by now, from romance to science-fiction series. Often I like to go back to a show I enjoyed. But I don’t feel like watching it all over again…

I created this website so myself and others could find the best episodes of our favourite shows. As of today, I have about 1,000 shows on the website with votes and rating coming from fans.

Hopefully, you can join me from your sofa and enjoy some nice TV!
