I was really looking forward to the show when it was announced: Interesting time period in the Star Wars universe with lots of possible plot hooks, interesting characters in the crew, etc. This sounded like a lot of potential. After watching the first couple of episodes, I'm a bit underwhelmed. It's not bad at all, but it could have been so much more: The stories are quite simple with straightforward plot ("mission of the week" structure) and – so far – lack a deeper story arc. Furthermore, the characters are often acting a bit childish, which doesn't really seem to fit to the general tone of other stories in the franchise. I know, this is supposed to be a show for kids and young adults, but that doesn't mean you can't establish a complex, interesting story and an environment with love for little details. Series like The Last Airbender or Legend Of Korra have proven that, why can't a widely loved, rich universe full of stunning tales and adventure like Star Wars have something similar?
This is a really well-written show- IMO, it manages to catch the attention of kids and adults alike! It could have been more, yes. But hey, this is an XD show. At least we don't get to see fluffy rabbits going zZz instead of gunshots killing the target. It's permissible and O.K for older audiences | I like it a lot! It's funny, action-packed... it just lacks depth, but I'm ok with it as it is.
Not sure why I'm addicted to this show, but I am... ;-)
Animation looked good in the 15-minute preview, Startrooper's armour was a bit shinier -- but it looks to be more kid-centric than Clone Wars :-(
When I saw the first trailer for _Rebels_ I immediately dismissed this a goofy kids show. And even now, before starting this, I was sceptical regarding this show. I will admit I was wrong on both accounts. There is some of the feared goofyness in it but even in it's early stages it was not that bad. And it got better with every season. It took my some time to get used to the new characters, especially Ezra whom I didn't like until probably to the final episodes. But while watching it I began to like Kanan, Hera, Sabine and even Chopper. It was interesting to follow their individual arcs. Bringing in known characters from the franchise and the whole world building further helped me connecting. A kids show ? Hardly. Ther are indicators that put this into that category but the story telling is as complex as it gets. Like _Clone Wars_ before, this show adds so much great content and it shows the potential that the whole SW story has. This is made by people who understand what they are working with. I can care for the fate of an animated character as much as for a "real" one. I applaud the writer as well as the actor voicing it for giving them a soul. I really don't make a difference between animated and live action any more. I care for the story. It does not need to be loud and spectacular all the time. And _Rebels_ finds this balance between action and character plots that keeps you wanting for more.
Fantastic final episode to the season! This show just keeps getting better, I just hope they keep making it as it does justice to the Star Wars story.
After Start Wars The Clone Wars I didn't know what to expect with Star Wars Rebels, and it was a pleasent surprise with a simple story to start off with and I think they spent the first season introducing the characters and building up the story, and the second season turned out to have more twists and turns. It's meant for both kids and adults, and I for one enjoy the show very much, I honestly look forward to it. If you like Star Wars you will enjoy this show for sure! Epic ending to Season 2 and I can't wait for Season 3.
Wow! The finale was amazing!
Stop Disney Destroying Star Wars!
Got a bit better over time and right at the end. Certainly wish I could get something like this that was a little less PG. Curious what happens next for sure for these characters, wondering if we'll ever see Ezra, Hera, Sabine, or Ahsoka in a Star Wars show again...
After a hot day outside, there’s nothing better than getting inside and cooling down, all while watching something on the tv. Luckily for all of us, there is plenty to chose from and more and more series are coming our way. So turn on your AC, get yourself a cold glass of your favorite drink, sit back and enjoy.
Because I’m watching so many imaginary scenarios, it’s nice to take a look at things that actually happened every once in a while. The drama from documentaries really feels a lot different than those from series you just know didn’t happen. I love being aware of everything that is or has been going on and Netflix is really great at helping us with that.
I am Sophie and this is my website.
A little about me 👋 I am a marketing student in Paris. I love spending afternoons with friends in a cafe or a park.
But more than anything else, I love watching (.. binging…) series on my computer on rainy Sundays or any sunny day for that matter 🙈
I must have watched hundreds of shows by now, from romance to science-fiction series. Often I like to go back to a show I enjoyed. But I don’t feel like watching it all over again…
I created this website so myself and others could find the best episodes of our favourite shows. As of today, I have about 1,000 shows on the website with votes and rating coming from fans.
Hopefully, you can join me from your sofa and enjoy some nice TV!
