If you’re a fan of Fauda and were expecting any of the same sort of well-written storyline and interesting characters of that show then you’ll probably be very disappointed. Four episodes in and I have nothing good to say about this show at all yet. The main character feels more like an Instagram influencer thrown into the world of spies rather than the trained Mossad agent/hacker she’s supposed to be. Every character on this show is dull and forgettable so far. Oh and the coincidences that occur just to keep the poorly-written story afloat are way too numerous. You’d think Athens, erm I mean Tehran is a tiny city of 2000 people as often as characters “accidentally” cross paths in this show. It really is just a mess. Cool opening music, that’s about it.

I was expecting this to be pretty bold-faced Israeli propaganda and I'm happy to report after having seen the entire season that it is not that. This show follows Israeli spies as the protagonists, but Israel is presented as flawed and occasionally brutal (if ultimately justified), meanwhile the Iranians in the show get to be fully fleshed relatable humans rather than evil monsters. It's a pretty fair portrayal where everyone gets to be human. The real villain is the hyper-conservative religious leadership. As a show, it's middling. The initial set-up is good, then it feels like they were told they had to stretch the show over more episodes than originally planned, and it quickly became aimless from the middle on. It gets bogged down in a love story and a side plot about young Iranian rebels. The season ends on a very bland note, way too many (ironically predictable) double-crosses and last minute twists, and does not leave me very exciting for a potential season 2.

I actually like the series so far, eps 2, but you can't be on the Iranian's side as their human rights are brutal, nor can you be on the side of the Israeli's as they are shits and their politics stink. So just remain neutral and take it as a tv series and you'll enjoy it.....

About Me

I am Sophie and this is my website.

A little about me 👋 I am a marketing student in Paris. I love spending afternoons with friends in a cafe or a park.

But more than anything else, I love watching (.. binging…) series on my computer on rainy Sundays or any sunny day for that matter 🙈

I must have watched hundreds of shows by now, from romance to science-fiction series. Often I like to go back to a show I enjoyed. But I don’t feel like watching it all over again…

I created this website so myself and others could find the best episodes of our favourite shows. As of today, I have about 1,000 shows on the website with votes and rating coming from fans.

Hopefully, you can join me from your sofa and enjoy some nice TV!
