As an absolute football fanatic I'm trying to get my hands on anything even slightly football related during this quarantine. So this came out at just the right time. It's a very interesting (even I didn't know much about this story) and very well made period drama.

An interesting story on the origins of professional football in England with some nice backstories and character development... just a shame it's a bit loose on the historical footballing accuracy!
Fergus Suter and Blackburn Rovers were not actually the first Northern team to win the FA Cup! Blackburn Olympic won it the year before them without Suter.
This aside, it's an enjoyable watch and I wouldn't mind a second series!

The series is quite simple, yet it transports well into the "time" of the events. For any football (soccer) fan it's a mini-must watch --- 2.1 points -> Acting and Characters (0-3) 1.4 points -> Plot development (0-2) 1.4 points -> Cinematography (0-2) 0.8 points -> originality (0-1) 0.8 points -> Based on Genre / Theme (0-1) 0.7 -> Overall Quality (0-1) Aka. 7.2 points (*this rating is still on the works) --- This is the first time I evaluate a series with these criteria, it follows a similarity with the formatting I do with movies evaluation.

About Me

I am Sophie and this is my website.

A little about me ๐Ÿ‘‹ I am a marketing student in Paris. I love spending afternoons with friends in a cafe or a park.

But more than anything else, I love watching (.. bingingโ€ฆ) series on my computer on rainy Sundays or any sunny day for that matter ๐Ÿ™ˆ

I must have watched hundreds of shows by now, from romance to science-fiction series. Often I like to go back to a show I enjoyed. But I donโ€™t feel like watching it all over againโ€ฆ

I created this website so myself and others could find the best episodes of our favourite shows. As of today, I have about 1,000 shows on the website with votes and rating coming from fans.

Hopefully, you can join me from your sofa and enjoy some nice TV!
