I watched 13 episodes and I have got to say... this is a real mindf'ing, f'ed up DARK show! Nothing like what I expected, it's like diary of a call girl, fatal attraction and suits had a threesome and made a reality show about it. I feel like a voyeur and I feel like I should be ashamed of myself. The first few episodes where kinda boring, but after that, I couldn't stop watching. Binged the whole thing. I still can't figure out whether Christine is a genius psychopath nympho? Or just a stupid narcissistic nympho? I wonder what she is going to do next? I am a fan! Did you know by the way, that this gorgeous and great actress is the granddaughter of Elvis? :-)
Binge-watched the whole show in a matter of two, maybe three days, I loved it. The show is dark, much darker than, say, Secret Diary Of A Call Girl, and it feels honest and real, yet its aesthetics are stunning. The first season is well-rounded and never boring, the actors are playing their parts convincingly and authentically. The two kinds of worlds Christine is in have been combined very well and the whole thing makes for a very interesting setting. I'd recommend this show to anyone who's looking for something dark, yet beautiful.
Comparing it to Belle (Secret Diary of a Call Girl) or at least bringing up that show is what made me want to check this show out. But Its nothing like that program. & thats all I could think about when watching. (Hows this like Belle?) the only comparison I see (so far) is that Belle & Christine are both escorts. Ill still watch it tho. I'm intrigued. EDIT: I've watched the rest of the episodes. Series one was good. Series two I was not into it at all. I think going back n forth between the two stories is what made me not that interested in it. But then I thought nah, even if I watched each story episodes back to back I still wouldnt be into it. There was something about the storylines/characters that I didnt click with.
Binge-watched the entire show in a matter of two days. The first season is dark, and it feels honest and real, I loved how they didn't use a background music just amplified the surrounded noise. The first season is well-rounded and never boring, the actors are playing their parts beautifully, specially the lead actress. But I can't say that for the second season. It's just grimy and claustrophobic, I don't understand the whole Bria thing and for Erica and Anna it's just a poor fan version of house of cards with 2 lesbians as lead characters.
I Felt like I was watching a Story Line to a porno, I feel like the Producers have hired someone with 0 talent but willing to take their top off on screen. Acting was awful and the screenplay was weak, I wouldn't recommend this.
This has the House of Cards look with bad acting, bad writing, and even worse dialogue. They should have just left it as a 2 hr movie because there's not enough meat here for a 13 ep season. They also should have found an older looking woman for the lead. Riley Keough looks like a freaking teenager.
I cannot wait for the show to come back on
It would be inconsistent to compare this show to The Secret Diary of a Call Girl. They may have some similarities, but they're both written to present a different outlook on the types of escorts that are in our society. First, unlike the UK, where Secret Diary was born, America condones escorts/sex workers/prostitutes - whatever you may call them. If you have been watching American TV shows and films, you would be able to sense, there has always been a negative connotation when a girl takes up sex work. And when one visits a call girl, the immoral code is immediately applied. The derogatory term whore, is also freely used to address these women, as well as any girl who enjoys sex casually with men. Oh yes, It's also illegal to be a sex worker, in America (except for the state of Nevada - yet illegal in some counties), in 2016! That aside, this show is engaging. There's a lot of subtle power-play at the inauguration of her career at a law firm. Her interest in masturbation, her excitement of being watched while masturbating, our curiosity to learn about her supposed "dark" side, and of course our concern on her well being. The highlight of the show is clearly, when she uses her intelligence in managing multiple situations, when her whole world is coming down. She finally decides that the only way to win the game is to get ahead, as quickly as possible. It's a little rough on the edges, but it could be the intention of the director to bring the imperfections of the character. Overall 7/10, though, I rate some episodes much higher.
In times like this, when we’re all trying to stay safe and stay home as much as possible, it is very important to enjoy ourselves and feel relaxed while doing so. Thankfully, we have Netflix to help us out in our quest, but with so many series to choose from, you might spend hours browsing and still not being able to decide! That’s why I made this list to help you out.
I am Sophie and this is my website.
A little about me 👋 I am a marketing student in Paris. I love spending afternoons with friends in a cafe or a park.
But more than anything else, I love watching (.. binging…) series on my computer on rainy Sundays or any sunny day for that matter 🙈
I must have watched hundreds of shows by now, from romance to science-fiction series. Often I like to go back to a show I enjoyed. But I don’t feel like watching it all over again…
I created this website so myself and others could find the best episodes of our favourite shows. As of today, I have about 1,000 shows on the website with votes and rating coming from fans.
Hopefully, you can join me from your sofa and enjoy some nice TV!
