A fantastic different show.
Considering the high ratings of some reviewers - I persisted. But a messy plot (albeit with strong sub-stories) combined with the trendy ending that doesn't answer any questions means I won't be investing more time in this series. Disappointing.
Wow, this show is just the pits
The. Best. Show. Ever. Made.
I watched the first season when it aired, and thought it was a muddled mess, but based on the recommendation of friends I gave it another try, and I'm so glad I did. Season 2 the show really starts to find its footing, and pace. Another commenter mentioned the "trendy ending that doesn't answer any questions"; to that I have to say what more questions could you possibly want answered? I thought the "ending was BRILLIANT".
The entire show is about the extremes that humans will go to assign meaning to random events. There is no providence, there is no master plan, there is no destiny, and if you believe otherwise, then yes, you WILL be disappointed in this series. In the end this show is about the human mind and how it is so very fragile and so fallible; yet it shapes the world around us, and more importantly _shapes those around us_. We must be careful with sharing our beliefs, because they are contagious, yet in the end my amount to nothing.
Really good if you don't focus on "What Happened".
words cannot describe how much i love this show, it's perfect in every single way, and it had a fantastic ending
To those on the fence, and those who have given up hope. This show has many lessons for you. It takes patience, but pays in dividends.
Put simply, one of the finest TV shows ever made, up there with _The Wire_ and _Breaking Bad_. The Leftovers is far more than its mystery, it's about its characters and how they react to this new world and the changes brought before them. It's not about delving into ideas of why the event happened, it's about people that were already broken before it, and how disaster brought that into the light. I don't want to get too much into what makes the show great, because that would be spoiling it. You just need to know that if you want to go into _The Leftovers_ hoping to have a _Lost_ style mystery, in the hopes that everything will be revealed in time, then you should probably alter your expectations or watch _Lost_ again. This is about the people, and that's what makes it truly great. _The Leftovers_ will make you laugh, it will make you cry (oh boy, will it make you cry) and it will make you happy that someone even attempted to make a show so bold, ambitious and complete, that you will never forget. It was criminally underwatched when it was airing, but now you can watch the whole thing. Do yourself a favour and watch every minute of this masterpiece.
Best show and best soundtrack ever.
While we celebrated the Pride month just now, why not talk about some awesome TV shows focused on LGBT characters. What if you want to learn about the people at large but you realize that there is no diversity in your close social circles. That’s when a good TV series can enlighten you with the ideas and realities. It can also save you from awkward moments in the real life by providing the right insights.
After a hot day outside, there’s nothing better than getting inside and cooling down, all while watching something on the tv. Luckily for all of us, there is plenty to chose from and more and more series are coming our way. So turn on your AC, get yourself a cold glass of your favorite drink, sit back and enjoy.
Mixing reality shows and food seems like the perfect combination for just about anyone. I always get amazed what some people are able to make under a huge amount of pressure. The cooking shows are so entertaining as well, because it’s always regular people competing. Just make sure not to watch them on an empty stomach!
I am Sophie and this is my website.
A little about me 👋 I am a marketing student in Paris. I love spending afternoons with friends in a cafe or a park.
But more than anything else, I love watching (.. binging…) series on my computer on rainy Sundays or any sunny day for that matter 🙈
I must have watched hundreds of shows by now, from romance to science-fiction series. Often I like to go back to a show I enjoyed. But I don’t feel like watching it all over again…
I created this website so myself and others could find the best episodes of our favourite shows. As of today, I have about 1,000 shows on the website with votes and rating coming from fans.
Hopefully, you can join me from your sofa and enjoy some nice TV!
