Sex and The City + Mindy Kaling (in all the best ways possible) is exactly everything I didn't know I needed but please go on.
Situations are too forced, acting over the top, jokes are not funny. Too awkward.
Safe. Plucky. Boring. What did ATT tell HBO it needed to improve its image for a broader audience? The accessibility of The Mindy Project! Yay! What if Greek had the characters cuss more and the background characters got naked? That's "HBO enough," right? The literally arrested in their development are going to eat this up.
A great, easy watch. I loved the humor in this show. I am excited for more seasons to come out. I liked how there was a “plot twist”. I really wasn’t expecting it from a comedy show and it caught me off guard. I thought this was a 10/10.
My partner and I started watching this mainly as a way of continuing one of our favorite bits: accusing each other of being pedophiles and/or gay. But it wound up being pretty entertaining. The Mindy Kaling self-insert character is kind of distracting at times but I gotta ask myself if I would have even noticed if it was a white male self insert comedy writer character. The answer is "probably but not for sure", so I guess I can't be that annoyed.
Trying so hard to be a mix of "Dear White People" and "Sex Education", but ultimately falling flat (in my opinion) because of the oversimplified characters, the meandering plot without a real goal or message, and the reliance on tropes and "wokeness" to appeal to an aging Gen Z audience. The actors are trying their best, and I see so much potential in this, but was really disappointed in the lack of real heart.
I am Sophie and this is my website.
A little about me 👋 I am a marketing student in Paris. I love spending afternoons with friends in a cafe or a park.
But more than anything else, I love watching (.. binging…) series on my computer on rainy Sundays or any sunny day for that matter 🙈
I must have watched hundreds of shows by now, from romance to science-fiction series. Often I like to go back to a show I enjoyed. But I don’t feel like watching it all over again…
I created this website so myself and others could find the best episodes of our favourite shows. As of today, I have about 1,000 shows on the website with votes and rating coming from fans.
Hopefully, you can join me from your sofa and enjoy some nice TV!
