As he isn't recognized locally, it's not immediately apparent who he is. Eventually, Missing Persons records reveal that troubled Caden Lennon had absconded from the care of his support worker six weeks previously. With few leads thrown up by the Newcastle estate where Caden came from, Vera looks to the Peyton locals to throw some light on the investigation. Beneath the quaint facade she discovers that there is a growing drugs problem. But, with local dealer Tony Briggs now apparently going straight, it's not clear why. Vera begins to question whether Caden's connections to Newcastle and Peyton run deeper, and whether the lack of leads points to a ring of silence with darker forces at play. Vera must uncover the missing link to find Caden's ruthless killer.

Very good from procedural/detective standpoint. A lot of times series like this go too much into interpersonal drama, but here it is murder first, investigation first. Everything else that's happening to the police unit in their daily lives is more subtle, and better for it. Highly recommended for those who watch such shows for the puzzle part of the plot; but the cast is great, no doubt. Great show all around.

Love this series. Brenda Blethyn plays the part sooooo well.

Great show!!! Need more like it!!

Brenda Blethyn is irresistible in her portrayal of the hat and Mac clad, Land Rover driving, sharp of eye and tongue, DCI, entrenched in the heart of Northumberland. The writing is good, but the appeal of these stories is not just the puzzle of the crime but it is also that the crime and community are complex, and the satisfaction is in watching Vera steer her team toward finding the definitive clues that lead to the villan(s). It is a police procedural at it's very finest, and the setting is breathtakingly beautiful. Treat yourself to this series from the beginning. I maintain my rating for the series as 9 (splendid) out of 10. [Police Procedural

This was totally good as I didn't suspect the killer nor the conspiracy of her friend.

About Me

I am Sophie and this is my website.

A little about me ๐Ÿ‘‹ I am a marketing student in Paris. I love spending afternoons with friends in a cafe or a park.

But more than anything else, I love watching (.. bingingโ€ฆ) series on my computer on rainy Sundays or any sunny day for that matter ๐Ÿ™ˆ

I must have watched hundreds of shows by now, from romance to science-fiction series. Often I like to go back to a show I enjoyed. But I donโ€™t feel like watching it all over againโ€ฆ

I created this website so myself and others could find the best episodes of our favourite shows. As of today, I have about 1,000 shows on the website with votes and rating coming from fans.

Hopefully, you can join me from your sofa and enjoy some nice TV!
